decided to try and rewatch on a whim (first time i watched this in middle school and vageuly remember liking it), gah daaamn its so edgy in a middle school way especially the dub. DONT GET ME STARTED ON THE DUB, the dialogue is hooorible

i had a fun time, i love light hearted animes with goofy characters so i think its pretty damn good. the animation gets a little ugly at parts but i can ignore that :)

gah daaamn this show is good, my only gripe is the sibling thing. its so unnecessary. if ushio and shinpei werent siblings i probably wouldve been a lot more invested in their romance. (same with mio, even tho she shouldve chosen sou or even tokiko, i cant be the only one who saw that crush tokiko had right?)

i think ur enjoyment of this show depends on ur enjoyment of the character souhei saikawa.. i was either in different or annoyed by him the whole time so i didnt like this show. the mystery was the one thing keeping me going and it was decent? for me, the mystery was bogged down by the "romance" and all the philosophy preached in the show. overall, im really curious why people like this show so much i really dont see anything thats not just okay

this show is just okay for me. its clearly intended for a younger audience which i could tell from the minute i turned it on but i stuck with it because of the visuals and some curiosity about the whole mystery of the shadows. forunately the mystery of the shadows is revealed but unfortunately its revealed in just some lame exposition. overall i dont regret watching this show but i probably wont think about it ever again..

i came for the interesting concept and stayed because i was hoping that it would get better but it.. didnt.. i think the pacing here sucked but what really killed this show was the magic system. there is nothing about the magic i like besides the way its drawn which is sad to say for a show set in a fantasical magical world that is supposed to intrigue u. i enjoyed the character dynamics a lot but they sadly werent enough to carry the whole show

this show set up a lot of interesting ideas and didnt execute them to their fullest. it starts off great and keeps getting great until the filler episodes. i actually liked these episodes but they killed the momentum of the story. the ending felt a bit rushed; throughout the rest of the series there was this slow build of the effects of lil slugger and muromi (/shonen bat which ig is his name in the sub? only watched the dub lol) and then in the final episodes suddenly there isnt a single person who doesnt have muromi merch. i didnt mind the actual conclusion of the mystery of lil slugger, that felt fine... an okay anime, there were some really cool ideas but nothing really stood out to me. i dont think im ever gonna think of this show again

rewatched this recently and i loved it! i love me some goofy characters and blood blockade definitely delivers on that front. if ur looking for a plot heavy show with super serious moments go somewhere else but if ur looking for a show with a funny lovable cast with some emotional moments mixed in; this is the show for u

the thrilling conclusion! the pacing at first is werid but gets better but what brough down this part of the anime was the misogyny, women truly are completely unimportant in this story (which was obvious in the first season but to a way lesser extent)

loved this season as well but it ended with so many questions left unanswered that it was a little unsatisfying

this is my exact favorite type of anime. goofy mcs who have fun chemistry banding together to solve mysteries. (i will say the worst part of this show is the blood sucking scenes, dear lord i was watching this at work and i felt constantly on edge and the NOISES i was hearing while looking away made me want to die)

(btw never watched this orignal so idk how it compares) the pacing is the biggest flaw in this story, at times its fine but (especially in the first episode) ure never given enough time for information to soak in. another one of the flaws of the show is the animation, some frames just look unintentionally stupid which can be really funny but clearly not on purpose. (also a bit minor of a point but the fan service scenes can come out of nowhere and are interesting to say the least) despite all of that i still enjoyed the show, all the characters are so over the top that i couldnt help but keep watching

i really enjoyed this anime, despite its ~interesting~ cgi. the story and characters were still good enough that the janky robot parts didnt matter too much

its my fault for not realizing this was a harem going in to this show but MAN THIS HAREM BLOWS all the girls are so annoying. the only thing i can give them any credit is that this mc is really nice so i can understand why they like him but omg its hard sitting through it. besides that, this show wasnt bad just proably not one im gonna remember, i actually genuinely laughed at some parts and the whole concept around the main antagonist is actually really interesting. ngl if this villan was transplanted from this story to another one, i would eat that shit up

i used to love this anime and i can still vividly remember fight that took place during the tournament arc and how hype it felt. but i cannot reccomend this to anyone due to the incest which i cant remember ever remember being portrayed as negative in the show

i just finished rewatching this series and its incredible, it made me feel a whole rollercoaster of emotions and i love it for that. i would reccomend this to anyone who is looking for something that is slice of life with a touch of sci-fi

the animation in this is incredible and the story is just wacky in a good way but i cant get over the costumes and sexual themes around the characters who looked pretty young. specifically i hated every single time that an adult would fawn over the younger characters while they were in their kamoys (if thats how u spell that, idk), even if it was jokingly. i dont see any reason why this story had to take place in a school setting when the characters are adults

i was expecting a lot from this anime seeing the hype around the internet but as it stands it is just another magical girl anime. im hoping that a second season is made and that it can make this anime more deserving of the praise it got

there are some really sluggish parts of this anime that can be hard to get through, but the end is worth it if you have the time to spare to get there

i watched this years ago and really liked it but coming back to it, the ending and how unsatisfactory it is just brings down the whole anime for me (which isnt entirely its own fault since this story as a whole was never even finished to being with). adlet, the main character is honestly the shining star of this anime but hes just about the only good thing going for it.

i loved season 1 so much but the introduction of a main villan really made this one stand out as the better of the two!

i love the manga for dorohedoro so much and i owe the anime for introducing me to it but the anime just doesnt do this manga justice sadly. the art in the manga is so beautiful and i wish more was done to try and capture the feel of the manga in to this adaptation so i would strongly reccomend the manga over the anime if you want to engage with the world of dorohedoro

this anime is so cathartic to watch, seeing questions of life and death from the perpective of a higher being who will never experience them creates such a beautiful story which can address these concepts incredibly well. the one downside of this anime is its ending, there is so much left unexplored in this universe due to this series being on an indefinite hiatus.

i loved it. it was so bad that i was dying laughing at parts. if you are looking for a serious anime then look somewhere else but if you're just looking for a fun time try this one out.
