I'm kinda confused how much hate Haida gets, no matter what he does. When he's just being a good friend and keeps his distance, he's "spineless" and "a simp". When he's trying to make a move and confess his feelings, he's suddenly "a creep" and "an incel". Are people unhappy no matter what he does? Is it so hard to believe somebody's just socially awkward? Also then why is Fenneko stalking people online "funny and quirky". (I like Fenneko, don't get me wrong but one can't talk about Haida's negative traits and ignore Fenneko's.)

I think he's fascinating as a character. He is a good friend but he has his problems. He's afraid of things changing. And honestly, I find that relatable. He is afraid of things changing, even if it would be for the better. He wants to be more than a friend but is afraid to be more.
