Was gonna leave a long paragraph praising him but the rest of the comments here said why his character is so great. So I'm just gonna say that he was my favorite character not only in GOM but the whole anime and had the best development. I wouldn't mind an OVA or side manga based around him tbh
He and Akashi are my absolute favorite characters in the show and have a special place in my heart. I mean could listen to them talk all day. Their style of play were my favorites and even though many did not like it... I liked their sense of "I am superior to everyone" arrogant attitude. They made the show harder for me to watch though because I would always be rooting for them over the main characters.
As the original light to the shadow... he will always be my favorite one... and his friendship with Kuroko is UNTOUCHABLE and the best one in the show.
ngl I could listen to him speak all day- definitely stole the show, he had a wholesome character development throughout the series
