Did not like how the anime portrayed him, and TBH, he just didn't fit. Trip already played the Cheren role and Bianca exists as her BW1 self in the animeverse, so B2W2 Cheren just felt out of place and ultimately needless.
Cheren is awesome! I love him so much! <3
