Hmm idk why but i feel like there kinda similar to eachother.
I'm not really sure why i feel like they feel similar though.
But i would really recommond both Hello world and Kimi wa Kanata
Both animes have a romance story behind them. In Kiwi wa Kanata the romance is more about realising your own feelings and confessing them but in Hello World it's more about letting go of the person you love. Both movies also include a mysterious scifi-like world.
When Ruka was younger, she saw a ghost in the water at the aquarium where her dad works. Now she feels drawn toward the aquarium and the two mysterious boys she meets there, Umi and Sora. They were raised by dugongs and hear the same strange calls from the sea as she does. Ruka's dad and the other adults who work at the aquarium are only distantly aware of what the children are experiencing as they get caught up in the mystery of the worldwide disappearance of the oceans' fish.
These shows came out one after another, boasting convoluted narrative, where world-building is coated thick over the central romance. The animation differs a lot and Hello world is so much easier to understand too. Both pieces are experimental (hence pretty unpredictable) and demonstrate lots of stunning footage of cosmic proportions at the expense of coherent plot development all the same.
