This kid confesses, tells off another boy who's dragging his girl around and has no issue going in for a kiss. He is more of a man than 98% of older main male characters in romance anime, especially Ecchi anime. A middle schooler with more of an idea about how a man should behave to a willing girl he likes than high schoolers in other anime. How could you NOT love this kid?! He isn't indecisive, spineless and dense like his older counterparts in other shows.
Finally a shy bookworm guy with actual BALLS. I hate how fiction tend to stereotype shy guys as static beings that never have any courage ever, and Kotarou is an example of how to write shy characters as he DOES take action when truly necessary.

A dense middle schooler. He also punches his fan a lot. So I will call him Fan Punching Man.
Boring character.
He is a typical real-life teenage brat who only thinks of "self happiness" and has no respect to parents.
Alpha male, beta male... whatever you describe him... I don't care!
To me, he is just a reflection of a wishy-washy dream of an adult who failed to have a so-called "perfect" love life during his youth.
