Good thing Red Entertainment is doing what Capcom doesn't, respecting the customers. I loved Sakura Wars V so much that I wished that Red Entertainment could take the franchise away from Sega.
I hate how Sega and Capcom turned into ingrates over the years. Having so many franchises that people love, but they don't care.

You would have to play the original before Overdose. I prefer the original Gungrave's ending.
I really loved beating the endgame bosses of the original before watching Brandon Heat go on a whirlwind of new adventures. Eventually meeting two other guys like him that woke up in their individual laboratories or former guinea pigs and agreeing to fighting new enemies.
So yeah! Overdose is a worthy sequel.
Everyone knows that the upcoming Gungrave GORE will take place in an alternate universe, says Red Entertainment. Will it get an anime adaptation? Maybe. Will the first two Gungrave games be remastered? Maybe, but that would be great idea.
