MisterPhantomAgent MisterPhantomAgent says...

Almost similar concept.

Betrayal of colleagues, and wishes of getting strong after going insane.

Both goes mental and has one very clear objective which they couldn't do until they encountered something special. Philosopher's stone or Holy Water, either way they encountered something rare opening a chance to become strong.

alp2va alp2va says...

Low life character is betrayed by his comrades, becomes OP, and turns on his former teammates. Arifureta puts the focus on adventuring and building a harem. Redo of Healer is much, much darker and keeps the focus on the revenge plot.

mesanator mesanator says...

Harem, bitter and angsty MC, something revenge, something politic in a fantasy world. The difference is that one you watch on Hentai site and the other on Funimation.

Kalypso226 Kalypso226 says...

The main character loses all hope and faith in humanity as they we're betrayed by someone that they thought they could trust.

AriusDequator AriusDequator says...

Really strong drive of the MC is present in both animes. In both there are a harem of girls supporting the MC, in both the MC is overpowered. The Healers story is more twisted, the anime is more sexual, while the other one is a more adventure based story.

N1GRQTNT N1GRQTNT says...

Arifureta is mostly the same except the revenge part in which the protagonist focuses on going home instead of taking their revenge

Both seeks revenge from a certain woman which tore the person down into pieces. Either it's 81tch or its Flare, it doesn't change the fact both protagonists hate their former colleagues.

Crua9 Crua9 says...

So this is basically Shield Hero, but the guy gets raped and he ends up doing a lot of that back. Like think of shield hero, but a lot more dark and a bit more nude.

Dreiirm Dreiirm says...

alright so Redo of Healer is basically Shield hero if it was on steroids... and viagra...and cocaine... maybe some marijuana.

arnexks arnexks says...

Both mc's were the punching bag of the world, but then they epic and both get lottsa pussy (one even shows the pussy). Oh and one is kinda moraly wrong (Redo of Healer).

mesanator mesanator says...

Basically the same story, MC is chosen to become hero to defeat the demon lord but gets screwed over by the princess. As a result becomes bitter and wants revenge on those who wronged him. Then in the process of executing his master revenge plan the MC gains a harem. The difference is that one you watch on a Hentai site and the other on Funimation.

Josle Josle says...

Ok, so this is a little bit weird recommendation. Basically if you have watched Redo of Healer and thought it were too brutal or pornographic, but liked the plot. Then The Rising of the Shield hero is perfect for you.

If however you watched The Rising of the Shield Hero but it had too little brutality and rape then Redo of Healer is perfect for you. They both have the same startline. A hero is spawned, the hero is being rejected, then the hero seeks revenge.

Me personally recommend The rising of the shield hero the most just because its more than a revenge story, and Redo of Healer is basically a hentai with a bit more plot.

both are hentai, both are animated by the same studio, both have overpowered main characters and both have big tits anime girls.

Both of these are ecchi and have a similar style. The only difference is that Redo of Healer will make you question your sanity while High School DxD is a little bit more wholesome. 10/10 boner material

Oshi no Ko

Oshi no Ko

Goro, a gynecologist and a massive B-Komachi stan, finds his life turned upside down when his newest patient turns out to be B-Komachi member Ai-chan herself! So under the cover of secrecy, Goro helps the young idol with her prenatal care... only to be attacked and killed the night she's due to give birth. Reincarnated as one of her newborn twins, Goro (now Aquamarine Hoshino) gets to spend 24 hours a day in the arms of his favourite idol! The MC is a man ho retains his memory from the past. In both animes the animation is good. Both stories revolve around a quite smart character trying to get revenge.

If you liked Redo of a Healer, then you might enjoy this anime. While it has a less dark concept, it does share similarites with the show, such as the abuse of power, and doing the wrong thing for the right reasons. It is considerably less crude and graphic, especially if you watched the uncensored version of Redo.

Both have a lot of brutal fights. Both pessimistic in general with all characters laid out in the beginning, only to get more fleshed out and then horrifically fucked over one by one each episode like getting checked off a list. Both rely on the idea of survival of the fittest, but Redo of Healer is all about revenge while Zodiac War is a competition and therefore less personal.

As for the intensity, I cannot stress enough: Redo of Healer is SIGNIFICANTLY more fucked up. The creators don't even seem to give a fuck if you like the characters or not; the main guy has to be the most sickening son of a bitch of any media I've ever consumed. There's sexual assault in almost every episode and blatant hentai everywhere. So... it's totally rational to take the step down to Zodiac Wars but seriously take a deep breath before climbing up to Redo of Healer. If you're like me, you're not even going to feel good about liking it.

Lastly, um there's different species seen in both here aka girls (and boys) with tails n ears if that's your thing.

The biggest similarites between both of these animes is that they are both villain protagonists trying to tear down high class systems, albiet for different reasons, with the people they target being depicted as over-the-top puppy killers with little to no redeeming qualities.  Though, if you can't stand sexual contend, stick with Redo of Healer.
