It's a bunch of girls, flying around defeating the bad guys. Pants aren't allowed for some reason.
They both have the same director and are filled with hot pants and panty shots. Boths series involve a set of chosen magical girls who have to fight an alien species in order to protect humanity. Vividred Operation is literally a copycat of Strike Witches but with fewer characters.
They both involve girls with special suits that grand them magical powers. One uses energy the other uses magic circles and no pants
Both are about girls fighting with magic powers whilst flying in the sky and not wearing pants.
One night, Madoka has a terrible nightmare – against the backdrop of a desolate landscape, she watches a magical girl battle a terrifying creature, and lose. The next day, the teen's dream becomes reality when the girl – Homura – arrives at Mitakihara Middle School as a transfer student, mysteriously warning Madoka to stay just the way she is. But when she and her best friend Miki are pulled into a twisted illusion world and meet a magical creature named Kyubey, the pair discovers that magical girls are real, and what's more, they can choose to become one. All they must do is sign a contract with Kyubey and agree to fight witches that spread despair to the human world, and in return they will be granted a single wish. However, as Homura's omen suggests, there's far more to becoming a magical girl than Madoka and Miki realize...
Vividred is basically a brighter version of Madoka which is in the future. It also involves 4 girls transforming to fight monsters except the story is not as dark and there is more humour.
Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica is a darker story than Vividred etc etc etc.
Also characters from both series are cute X3
Vividred Operation is, in essence, a magical girl show. It relies on science and technology for the girls to transform, but it's essentially the same concept as in normal mahou shoujo shows. Although Vividred is considerably more lighthearted and bright than Madoka Magica they share not only their mahou shoujo elements, but both series also follow a group of girls fighting against a supernatural evil, a strong friendship theme, and a very similar antagonist. Consider Madoka Magica as Vividred's older, more mature sibling and you wouldn't be too far off.
Both series are obvious magical girl series with a heavy emphasis on friendship. VO relies on science and technology while MSMM relies on hope. The major difference is that MSMM is MUCH darker than VO.
In a world where aliens known as "The Noise" threaten the earth, only one thing can protect the human race: the magical armor Symphogear. But in order to save their world, the Symphogear wearers will have to learn from the tragedies of the past.
Senki Zesshou Symphogear is basically Vividred Operation with more plot and a far darker tone to it. Both series are seemingly inspired by Strike Witches.
Symphogear is more musical and dark with more dynamic characters however it's animation is somewhat wobbly.
Vvidred Operation is basically Symphogear light with a more broken plot and a amount of pacing problems. Only watch Vividred Operation after Symphogear if you are looking for some MOE fanservice without a deep plot.
Both of these shows are about a group of armoured girls that are almost military style magical girls. Both shows also have strong themes of friendship, and focus on that rather than simply destroying your enemies.
Vividred Operation is the more ecchi of the two series, while Symphogear focuses on music. Both feature characters who are drawn in the same cutesy style, as well as having similar, positive personalities.
On the verge of extinction by the alien entity known as Huge, the planet unites to develop CHARM. Merging science and magic into a weapon, military facilities called Gardens quickly sprout up to train recruits in this nascent technology. Forged by nature and training, teenage girls emerge as a heroic Lily upon blossoming. Can humanity survive long enough for these Lilies to bloom and save us all?
These are very similar in that they both center on a group of teenaged girls fighting giant robot-like monsters (called 'Huge' in Lily and 'Alone' in Vividred) with futuristic weapons powered by exotic energy and magic. In both the girls can combine their abilities to become stronger. Both feature equal amounts of action scenes as well as more laidback slice-of-life segments. Prominent yuri undertones in both, too.
magical lesbians vs huge monsters. vivid has more fan service in it and an epic soundtrack.
it's butts vs thighs lets go!!!
Due to an invasion of an unknown enemy, the world is being destroyed. The military force is powerless against the enemy, lives are being taken and the planet is being torn to pieces. The group of young girls who will master "Strikers" will become Strike Witches, and with their new magic brooms, they will swiftly sail through the skies in order to protect what is left of mankind...
In the not-too-distant future, Earth was attacked by mysterious beings and before long over a third of the world's population was destroyed. Even after bringing to bear its full, united military strength, humanity was unable to repel the assailants and forced into using weapons of mass destruction. This was successful, but the war and its conclusion resulted in the deaths of a crushing percentage of all fighting-aged males, and Antarctica being melted, causing much of the Earth's land to sink underwater. Years later, three young girls - Otoha, a headstrong country girl; Karen, a technical genius; and the highly-disciplined and strong-willed Eika - are being trained to pilot Sonic Divers, weapons being developed lest humanity be caught off-guard once again.

What's worse, Mato has recently begun to have strange dreams about girls brawling in bizarre colorful worlds that seem to parallel her personal struggles. Vividred Operation is brighter and more lighthearted than Black Rock Shooter, but both come heavy on the meaning of friendship theme, as well as featuring young girls with big superpowers. If you believe in yourself and your friends, you can conquer the world!

Vividred Operation is a short series that is basically like a "magical girl" anime complete with transformation scenes and awesome weapons. Both Vidred Operation and the Nanoha series emphasize friendship as bonds that bring the main characters together; also both series are kind of similar in that the main protagonist wants to find out more about the mysterious other main character.
