This installment of Oto na Joshi no Anime time brings us 3 episodes and 3 stories, each about a Japanese woman and her life. We are shown a day or two in the life of each one, and watch her interact with the people around her, while we listen to her thoughts, which are often different from what she says and does. Through each story, we touch on social issues, all of which are of pressing concern for contemporary Japan and particularly women.
Story: Fabulously done, the stories follow each woman through her daily life. We are shown how their life seems normal, and as the episode develops, we find out that not is all as it seems. In some way or another, each woman is trapped by social rules and expectations. From a woman who has run away from her cold husband and is living for her lover, a woman who is almost......."
Looks like I'm gonna watch it! (At some point, haha)

Wow! 2-3 jobs? That's a lot! One is the ESL (Is that in the US?), but would you mind sharing a bit about what the other one(s) is/are? I've got a pretty decent job as an engineer, myself, atm. Discord is definitely the move to make for convenience and privacy, but I"m also fine talking on here, as well. :) I haven't seen Chihayafuru yet, although I've definitely heard of it. Is it worth checking out? Have you checked out Carole and Tuesday? The beginning was a bit rocky, as it's hard to get attached to the characters, but it was a surprisingly powerful show, by its end. What did you think about Weathering With You? I still think Garden of Words is my favorite Shinkai by a mile, but I saw Weathering with You In theaters two times, and enjoyed it both times. He keeps pushing the limits of anime, that's for sure. Anyway, glad to hear back from you. I know it may be infrequent, but I hope we can stay in contact to some extent. :) Let me know if you ever have time to watch a show; I'd be down to try watching something on a 1-2 eps a week basis simultaneously or real time with you.
Hey Snivets, at this point I don't remember how we lost touch, and even my memory of our undoubtedly many conversations has begun to fade, but I'm in a new phase of anime fandom, so I wanted to at least reach out and say hi.
