Both have people who turn into weapons, both show the bond between human weapons and their owners, both have a good story and wide range of characters. the only diffrence is the setting the story takes place in

AnimePixel AnimePixel says...

They both have weapons that also have human forms and gods that are isolated from others. Each anime has their own team to  help cleans the spirits/souls of evil. The dead that wishes to die (Noragami) and the ones that strayed from the wrong path (Soul Eater). Both have their own sense of comedy and the characters are very lovable!

In both shows, they fight monsters or what may be considered "bad guys" while they both also have a fighter and a person that transforms into their weapon.

If you've seen this series, I suggest you watch the Bungou Stray Dogs as well. There are characters with supernatural powers in this anime, too. The character Yato also reminds me of the character Osama Dazai.

The characters have similar dynamics. Both Animes are funny but also have a kind of serious touch to it. The more you dive into the story, the darker it gets. Just love them both so much!

Though it's difficult to explain why, I feel Noragami gave me the same kind of chills and feels that Fruits Basket was able to acheive, and they are the kind that are exceedingly rare.  If I had to give a specific example, I would liken Yato to Kyo in that everything is very light and goofy in the beginning but there is a dark secret lurking and you will feel it creeping closer and closer as the show goes on to ask the dreadful question that could ruin everything- will this person be accepted once they take off the mask.

Hozuki's Coolheadedness

Hozuki's Coolheadedness

Japanese Hell consists of 272 subdivisions, and the demon Hozuki is tasked with making sure they all run smoothly. Calm and level-headed, he efficiently navigates Hell's internal affairs while his boss, the Great King Enma, is busy judging the dead. Although Hozuki has a soft spot for cute animals and is known for his love of gardening Goldfish Flowers, he's certainly no pushover. This demonic bureaucrat has a mile-wide sadistic streak that keeps his subordinates and even King Enma himself in check. Is Hozuki's iron will - and iron club - enough to keep the afterlife running smoothly?

Although there isn't to much romance in Hoozuki no Reitetsu, there is a similarity with Noragami in the gods and the underworld theme. Recommend both for the comedy and the for some light action.

The phantoms in Noragami resemble the curses in Jujutsu by a lot. Both shows have great character development in my opinion, and they also have a well-balanced mix of comedy and action; so I highly recommend if that's what you're into.
