We recently launched some changes and now have a few new privacy levels for reviews, including ‘private’ (to be able to take personal notes), and ‘people who visit my profile’ for short reviews, impressions, or even one liners that can be seen in your profile, or everywhere across the site for those who follow you. Here’s a full writeup of the privacy levels.

A few of your reviews have been changed to ‘people who visit my profile’ - you’ll see a small eye icon (that only you or your followers will see) next to these review titles. The reason for these changes is that the reviews were too short. If you eventually decide to turn these into longer reviews feel free to change the privacy level back to “everyone” :)

The chatroom is an IRC chatroom (Internet Relay Chat) and it has its own rules that are different from IM (Instant Messaging) systems. Once you connect, by clicking on the chat room link at the bottom of the page, you confirm the nickname you will be using, and then it puts you into the a-p chatroom. There is a space at the bottom of the page where you can type your chat talk, and hitting enter adds what you typed into the room for everyone to read. On the right side, is a list of the nicknames of the people that are active and lurking in the chatroom currently.

Note that when you first enter the chat, it takes a minute for you to see the current conversation (it comes up with the room protocols right away, but the actual chat content takes a minute to load. Once it is loaded, your chat will come up immediately.)

If you tell me what time you plan to be on next, I can arrange to go on the same time as you so I can give you live help in real time as you are doing everything in case you have questions. (I'll try to be around at the same time you say.)
