I agree, the first Season of Neverland was amazing. And I watched it, but I think I wont go further, since the Second One is supposed to be really awful, because they don't follow the manga
Yeah i agree with you, most of the Anime in general have a lot of potential. But the problem is, only few actually manage to use it. Most of the Anime actually fail in some ways.
Bad characters, story, dialogues, monologues, writing style, narrative, beginning, middle part, ending, twists and turns and so on. There are so many approaches in which the mangaka is mostly lacking and it doesn't manage to get the hang of it.
My Reason? I guess I just have no real reason to stop watching them. Same like playing video games. I started watching Antime around 2005-2007 when I was still around 9/10 years old and enjoyed them. I also find good ones even now. I cant say I am a "Fan" of Anime, since around 30% are just bad for me, 40% Average and only 30% are beyond it and even up to good or amazing. They are producing 1-2 interesting Shows each Season and everything else is filled with boring bad written slice of Life or horrible Harem stuff.
There are actually some not bad Harem like "Grisaia" but only thanks to the characters and storytelling.
i had a similar taste like you yeeears ago. But since i got older and started to see Anime different, my taste changed by a lot, also my reviews got harder since I pay attention to lot of Detail.
Thats all why I rate some Anime with 4/10 even if I like them, because they are bad written.
