Hi! You call me by the name I took a liking at: Adelaine. I am 14 years old and have started watching anime since childhood, though it was mostly influenced by my older brother. Now, I'm navigating anime genres on my own and is still quite new to it. I would very much appreciate title recommendations regardless of the genre.
I am practicing to have an open minded conversation. Which was prompted by my brother who told me I rarely listen to his arguments. (Most of which was regarding Sakura Haruno of Naruto hehe) So if you like to say something in contrast of my opinion (or think I'm misunderstanding something/found a flaw in what I said) please don't hesitate. I would also ask questions here and there to either broaden my understanding or share my opinion of the said topic hence I ask you to not take it the wrong way.
I have a hobby of liking generally disliked characters and very minor characters like Sakura Haruno, Rei Hino, Motoko Minagawa, Kagura Sohma, Neji, and Tenten.
I loathe perverted characters.
I also read Manhwa and would like recommendations for genres like:l Slice of life, School life, Villainess, Shoujo Isekai, The main lead who is the friend of a main lead/ Minor Character who doesn't have much significance to the original story but becomes the main lead. (Sorry for the vv specific terms, I don't know what it's called.)

Totally True. Sakura annoyed me on ep 1-4 I think and people always talk non-stop about sakura is annoying just bc of this 4 episodes, its like they never watched sakura after this 4 episodes. I always get annoyed of people saying that Sakura is trash!
I agree with you on the Mineta comment, but my problem is that those characters dont get as much hate as Mineta just because they are attractive. Anyone can hate on Mineta but if you stan a character that literally does the same things you dislike Mineta for then that's dumb as hell

ahh alrighty now i know what you meant , my comment wasnt in regards that mineta isnt a pervert . i was just stating that a lot of people hate on mineta for being a pervert , but then proceed to like characters such as meliodas and hisoka ( who are both also perverts ) . to me its just double standards , mineta isnt an ' attractive character ' so its easier for people to not like him because of the things he does ( if you dislike his character for other reasons then thats totally fine ) . then we go see people simping for hisoka ( even though he is quite literally into kids and a pervert ) , but they disregard that fact due to him being an attractive individual . meliodas too , we see the way he acts towards elizabeth but its okay since hes also an attractive character ? i'll add in one more example , midnight who is also from my hero . shes perverted too . . . around high school students even though shes older than them , but people turn a blind eye because she is attractive . to me personally i dont understand that logic . if youre going to not like a character due to them being perverted , i expect those same people to act the same towards other characters who are perverted . hope this cleared some things up :]
