I do like the idea of the character, especially for the story she's in, being that she's got a sensitive nose and has to put up with the Death Stench. Where the character falls flat though is just about everything else. She's basically a whiny brat that didn't have the courtesy to just confirm to the officers of what they saw, all because she had a fever.
I will admit though, the part where she becomes one of those creatures is where the story gets better, since she actually serves some sort of purpose by then, but even then she's just a prop for Tadashi.

I'm a little biased towards her because one of my favorite shirts is of Kaori tastefully nude in the shower and it is so stylishly sexy.
At least she's not that useless as she is in the manga
The amount of pitiful falling down and tripping done by this chick is way too high.
