Hard to believe its only a spin off ehh?
I believe those two were enemies as a form of the fated opponents type of set up. One of those scenarios where they share a lot even beliefs but must fight on opposites sides of a battle.
Triangle Heart ~Sweet Songs Forever is what it is a spin off from. Triangle Heart though is an alternate universe story about her siblings but there is evidence in Nanoha that some of that is still true even in that univese since her father is shown without his shirt once and he is scarred up like only a professional bodyguard could be.
