Both MCs are cruel, calculating, and intelligent. Their enemies are powerful and their families are psychotic, pushing them to be twisted themselves.

They are fighting with their lives on the line, and will not hesitate to do whatever it takes to come out on top.

upsidepenguin upsidepenguin says...

A big similarity is the twisted families and the grim situations of the webtoons. Both have protagonists that are cunning and in the grey area for "evil". Both are "evil" out of necessity. Both have a lot of schemes going on. Both have a healthy dose of blood spilling every once in a while.

Summary: Both are dark and suspenseful, with cunning FLs, which make them both intense reads.

Bananelly Bananelly says...

Extremely strong female main characters, calculating, and ruthless. They both have bad dad's too

BangtanPurpleU BangtanPurpleU says...

These two manwhas have very strong, dominating female characters and are also very female-oriented, which not only makes the two similar but also really good reads.

sliverfox sliverfox says...

both have female lead without leaning onto the male lead . they  are badass, smart and villainess...

RozeDragon RozeDragon says...

Both include strong, cold, twisted female leads who were forced into a villainess role for the sake of their goals and survival. They each have their own strengths and the plot of the two stories takes a dark and serious tone. The two female leads are willing to do whatever it takes in order to achieve what they want.

nathanathan nathanathan says...

Both fe3male leads are smart and schemers and lady boss-type beat. Also, the art is so captivating along with the storyline being very interesting as well, 100% recommend.

ANIMEinHEART ANIMEinHEART says...

because the characteristics of the protagonists are quite the same.. not to mention the similarities in the plot.. but the differences are also enjoyable, unique and personally both are my most fav's

summercc00 summercc00 says...

Both have strong, intelligent female protagonists who scheme their way out of bad situations and act as kind of anti heroes

MinRei MinRei says...

The two are about "villainess" characters trying to survive  in a nutshell. They are for the most part different though, one is about exacting revenge in order to survive while the other is by lending a helping hand to someone in order to save themselves from a bad end.

Both mc use everything at their disposal to achieve their goal, however they didnt cross the line and just straight became inhumane despite being raised/ experiencing hardships (being raised like objects to impress their father/ being framed and having to be killed because of your family)

Otakuchan49 Otakuchan49 says...

The Fl of both stories is sadistic and clever, and yet not too Mary Sue either. Both are looking for revenge, and are willing to use any methods to achieve that goal. The families for both are messed up in some ways. The art for both manhwa are beautiful and high quality.

And best of all they both are a great fantasy manhwa with a strong female lead that (so far) doesn't involve a reverse harem.

Rachso Rachso says...

Cunning and cruel female leads. Though Roxana is of course much more cruel and cunning. But still very similar.

SparklingLilac SparklingLilac says...

Kinda mean kinda nice villianesses, more morally grey than most

Manipulative MC's that are not above doing bad things to acheive their goals

the end justifies the means kinda people also very revenge motivated

TheGirlWhoWaited TheGirlWhoWaited says...

reincarnation into a villainess. Both MCs decide to keep the villainous role (Way to Keep an Older Brothrt of the Heroine Safe more of an obvious villain where as Villain turns the hourglass she puts an angelic face on in public while being a villainess behind the scenes)

ellie357 ellie357 says...

both fls villainesses but tvtth is more of a personal revenge story against certain individuals whereas twtkaoboths is a takedown of an entire corrupt family. also they are both so beautiful and literally every single character is in love with them looool

royaltysfangirl royaltysfangirl says...

The FLs in both manhwas are both very similar in personality, they're both cunning and scheming, both experienced cruelty in their past lives. In Roxana, the FL seeks freedom and to crush the Agriche family rather than revenge, and Aria's purpose is to get revenge on Mielle and those who opposed her previously. The plot's are pretty much same, they practically have a trump card to take down their household. If y'all like the crazy family being obssessed with human toys and slaves trope, these stories are both in the same route. And of course they both have the FLs being the only sane one in the fam.

L0stAuthority L0stAuthority says...

Both the FLs are apart of prominent families that practice disgusting, unethical methods of treating humans. The FLs both want to escape from these behavior and they both work to gain power in order to achieve their end goal.  The Way to Keep an Older Brother of the Heroine Safe is a more violent, gore-y version, while  The Way to Keep an Older Brother of the Heroine Safe is a world with magic and revolves around politics (like gaining allies through business deals/dealing with enemies with help of allies). Nevertheless, both are great reads.

ellie357 ellie357 says...

these stories are actually quite different but if you generally enjoy nobles/ 1800's esque european ambiance youll enjoy them both because they are such strong stories, but twtkaoboths is a lot edgier than tpiat.

The Villainess is a Marionette

The Villainess is a Marionette

I woke up as Kayena Hill, the novel’s villainess, praised as the greatest beauty in the empire. Who knew that her story would catch my attention because I was her in my past life? Destined for terrible ends, I’ve died twice—but I refuse to die a third time as a pawn in someone else’s scheme. I’m no longer the vain and naïve princess. Now that I know how the story will unfold, I’ll turn the tables around and have everyone dancing to my tune. This time, I’ll be the one pulling the strings.

I read them both and they are similar and they are both really grate. They both have one goal in common it is they don't want to be tied down to any one

The art is somewhat similar. I feel like if you prefer art styles like the one in "The Way to Keep an Older Brother of the Herione Safe" then you'll also appreciate the art in this manhwa as well.

Villains Are Destined to Die

Villains Are Destined to Die

This game’s got me obsessed! It’s like it’s taken over my life... wait—HARD MODE ACTIVATED. No-no-no-no-no! It has literally taken me and thrown me into the part of Penelope Eckhart. Love is easy as the heroine, but as the hated villainess, I’m trying very hard not to die… at the hands of my brothers… the prince… a fork… every possible ending is death! This world is stacked against me, but can my wits and insider game knowledge score the affection of these male characters? Or the reset button???

RozeDragon RozeDragon says...

Both include a female lead whose main goal is survival. They are constantly faced with the threat of death, and most of their familial relationships are on very unstable or bad terms. Both main characters also assume a cold-hearted and strong stance in order to survive and are willing to do what it takes to avoid death. The plot of both manhwa also follows a more serious theme and focuses more on their goals rather than anything else.

nathanathan nathanathan says...

They both have a much more realistic and well-paced storyline, and the female lead doesn't get trampled over like a naive little girl compared to many other manhwas.

MinRei MinRei says...

The story share the theme of survival, having to walk on egg shells around the other prominent characters.

The two differ in the sense that one feels like the realistic version of survival, having to reject others by paving her own path and the other basically accepted the crazy in her system in order to not break down.

The two also have great art, one is pastel like while the other is dark.

Kill the Villainess

Kill the Villainess

Eris Miserian just wants to die. Being overworked and underappreciated in the real world wasn’t great, but living as the villainess in a romance novel is even worse. If Eris can die in the novel, she might be able to return to reality, but the story won’t let her. Desperate to escape a life as the protagonist’s tormentor, she sets off on a journey with the help of a witch, a knight, and a high priest. Can she find her way back to her friends and family, or is Eris doomed to a fictional future?

Both of these stories give off the same type of vibes. There both villainess and where isekaied into a book. Villainess makers female mc is more soft hearted then The Way to Protect the Female Leads Older brother. They both can be cruel or scary when needed. Both stories also have romance not to mention that the art in both stories is amazing! There are many similarity's in the stories as well as differences which make each story interesting to read and keep you waiting for more. I recommend this to any body who really enjoys a strong female lead with romance!

Both have strong/ becoming strong female leads (although Roxana is more hard core and darker); both involve needing to become a villainess and take on darker aspects of their personalities

Solitary Lady

Solitary Lady

Noblewoman Hillis Inoaden has had many lives so far (seven, to be exact) but she has always been regarded the same in all of them: meek, submissive, and a pest. With a sacred power passed down from her lineage and the title of Family Head, she sets out for revenge and to change the grave destiny that awaits her.

Both have cruel families and features female leads with unique abilities and powers that can help them become more stronger later on and to help them survive their manipulative families. Also both stories are written by the same author so things could get interesting... ;)

naveniel naveniel says...

I definitely agree that both of these stories have a very similar vibe and dark tinge. But while the Solitary Lady is a bit more clueless and still searching herself around the edge, Roxana is about a determinated young woman with much more to make us discover but less backstory to learn. All in all, while being similar in vibes and able to suits your taste if you liked one of these, these stories are different and make for a really enjoyable read in this genre!

The mangas are probably similar because of the MC's. They are both manipulative, kind, gorgeous and yet, pretty cruel. I love the characters in both because the Main Leads are OP but at the same time rely on the MC's.

Recommended mainly due to similar grim fairy tale vibes.

They both have amazing art, and their arts have the same vibe. Both arts have beautiful details and lighting. There's also blood in both webtoons. Both have a dark atmosphere to them, though for different reasons.

To be honest, the FL and plot of both stories aren't that similar. TWTKAOBOTHS has a much stronger and more cunning FL, while TVS has a softer one. TVS has a much nicer family as well.

But I thought the vibes were similar, especially the art, so why not recommend?
