Both MCs are cruel, calculating, and intelligent. Their enemies are powerful and their families are psychotic, pushing them to be twisted themselves.

They are fighting with their lives on the line, and will not hesitate to do whatever it takes to come out on top.

upsidepenguin upsidepenguin says...

A big similarity is the twisted families and the grim situations of the webtoons. Both have protagonists that are cunning and in the grey area for "evil". Both are "evil" out of necessity. Both have a lot of schemes going on. Both have a healthy dose of blood spilling every once in a while.

Summary: Both are dark and suspenseful, with cunning FLs, which make them both intense reads.

RozeDragon RozeDragon says...

Both include strong, cold, twisted female leads who were forced into a villainess role for the sake of their goals and survival. They each have their own strengths and the plot of the two stories takes a dark and serious tone. The two female leads are willing to do whatever it takes in order to achieve what they want.

Both fe3male leads are smart and schemers and lady boss-type beat. Also, the art is so captivating along with the storyline being very interesting as well, 100% recommend.

Both pieces know how to write the role of a "villainess" in a way where the audience becomes completely captivated. Normally, I don't agree with a lot of recommendations but I definitely agree with this one. Also, both pieces feature such beautiful artwork and extremely unique/interesting storylines. If you liked Roxana, you definitely will like Your Throne. -PS free to read on the webtoon app :)

Both have that tense atmosphere where main characters have way less power than the antagonist (Or that's how it's shown) and have to make their way out of evil's hands.

Both antagonists and protagonists in both stories are a lot twisted. Fls in a nice way, more like sly and cunning rather than twisted.

MinRei MinRei says...

The two are about "villainess" characters trying to survive  in a nutshell. They are for the most part different though, one is about exacting revenge in order to survive while the other is by lending a helping hand to someone in order to save themselves from a bad end.

Both mc use everything at their disposal to achieve their goal, however they didnt cross the line and just straight became inhumane despite being raised/ experiencing hardships (being raised like objects to impress their father/ being framed and having to be killed because of your family)

Otakuchan49 Otakuchan49 says...

The Fl of both stories is sadistic and clever, and yet not too Mary Sue either. Both are looking for revenge, and are willing to use any methods to achieve that goal. The families for both are messed up in some ways. The art for both manhwa are beautiful and high quality.

And best of all they both are a great fantasy manhwa with a strong female lead that (so far) doesn't involve a reverse harem.

Rachso Rachso says...

Cunning and cruel female leads. Though Roxana is of course much more cruel and cunning. But still very similar.

SparklingLilac SparklingLilac says...

Manipulative MC's that are not above doing bad things to acheive their goals

reincarnation into a villainess. Both MCs decide to keep the villainous role (Way to Keep an Older Brothrt of the Heroine Safe more of an obvious villain where as Villain turns the hourglass she puts an angelic face on in public while being a villainess behind the scenes)

ellie357 ellie357 says...

both fls villainesses but tvtth is more of a personal revenge story against certain individuals whereas twtkaoboths is a takedown of an entire corrupt family. also they are both so beautiful and literally every single character is in love with them looool

royaltysfangirl royaltysfangirl says...

The FLs in both manhwas are both very similar in personality, they're both cunning and scheming, both experienced cruelty in their past lives. In Roxana, the FL seeks freedom and to crush the Agriche family rather than revenge, and Aria's purpose is to get revenge on Mielle and those who opposed her previously. The plot's are pretty much same, they practically have a trump card to take down their household. Other recommendations like Roxana and TVTTHG are Untouchable Lady, The Villainess is a Marionette, and Actually, I was the real one.

The Villainess is a Marionette

The Villainess is a Marionette

I woke up as Kayena Hill, the novel’s villainess, praised as the greatest beauty in the empire. Who knew that her story would catch my attention because I was her in my past life? Destined for terrible ends, I’ve died twice—but I refuse to die a third time as a pawn in someone else’s scheme. I’m no longer the vain and naïve princess. Now that I know how the story will unfold, I’ll turn the tables around and have everyone dancing to my tune. This time, I’ll be the one pulling the strings.

The art is somewhat similar. I feel like if you prefer art styles like the one in "The Way to Keep an Older Brother of the Herione Safe" then you'll also appreciate the art in this manhwa as well.

irlyandere irlyandere says...

They have similar art, they have similar female leads- I dropped both because I thought the female lead was too weak/ weak around the male lead (as a feminist, my principles felt violated), but both were interesting enough stories nevertheless, the art is consistently pretty, and the cover pictures don't lie.

The Unintentionally Ideal Adopted Daughter

Transmigrating into the main character of your favorite book sounds like a dream come true, but knowing Viola Vellatoux grows to be disappointed in her ending, Arin Han sets out to rewrite the story. However, her adoptive family will not hesitate to assassinate one another in their fight for control. The new Viola needs to use her wits to convince everyone that she has what it takes while remaining true to her goal. Further complicating her schemes, the male lead looks eerily familiar and has a strange effect on her when she gets too close.

Villains Are Destined to Die

This game’s got me obsessed! It’s like it’s taken over my life... wait—HARD MODE ACTIVATED. No-no-no-no-no! It has literally taken me and thrown me into the part of Penelope Eckhart. This world is stacked against me, but can my wits and insider game knowledge score the affection of these male characters? Or the reset button???

RozeDragon RozeDragon says...

Both include a female lead whose main goal is survival. They are constantly faced with the threat of death, and most of their familial relationships are on very unstable or bad terms. Both main characters also assume a cold-hearted and strong stance in order to survive and are willing to do what it takes to avoid death. The plot of both manhwa also follows a more serious theme and focuses more on their goals rather than anything else.

nathanathan nathanathan says...

They both have a much more realistic and well-paced storyline, and the female lead doesn't get trampled over like a naive little girl compared to many other manhwas.

MinRei MinRei says...

The story share the theme of survival, having to walk on egg shells around the other prominent characters.

The two differ in the sense that one feels like the realistic version of survival, having to reject others by paving her own path and the other basically accepted the crazy in her system in order to not break down.

The two also have great art, one is pastel like while the other is dark.

Amayalee Amayalee says...

Both have compelling story lines and are dark, with empatheticness. Roxanne is surrounded by villains everywhere and must fight to retain sanity. She like Penelope are in a dark situation and act on their knowledge to stay alive.

mirakaaii mirakaaii says...

both have dark meaning, although the storyline isnt exactly alike when i put both mcs together they have really similar personalitys, theyre very smart and both families are very hard to understand. both of their personalitys are very dark and have pain in their backstories. also both MLs are only spoken to for the sake of MCs own safety. the art is soo beautiful on both too

Both of these stories are very similar to one another. The vibes make both of these manhwas extremely chilling and creepy and both FLs have very similar personalities. I personally find the FL in "Resetting Lady" to be more creepier literally just because of the giant axe that she is holding. And I do prefer the manhwa "Roxana" a bit more because it released earlier and I am quite attached to that story a little bit more but either way, I do like both of these manhwas!

L0stAuthority L0stAuthority says...

Both the FLs are apart of prominent families that practice disgusting, unethical methods of treating humans. The FLs both want to escape from these behavior and they both work to gain power in order to achieve their end goal.  The Way to Keep an Older Brother of the Heroine Safe is a more violent, gore-y version, while  The Way to Keep an Older Brother of the Heroine Safe is a world with magic and revolves around politics (like gaining allies through business deals/dealing with enemies with help of allies). Nevertheless, both are great reads.

Kill the Villainess

Kill the Villainess

Eris Miserian just wants to die. Being overworked and underappreciated in the real world wasn’t great, but living as the villainess in a romance novel is even worse. If Eris can die in the novel, she might be able to return to reality, but the story won’t let her. Desperate to escape a life as the protagonist’s tormentor, she sets off on a journey with the help of a witch, a knight, and a high priest. Can she find her way back to her friends and family, or is Eris doomed to a fictional future?

Despite their personal feelings, because of what is deemed expected by their families these noble ladies both must walk a path drenched in blood and poison. The male leads see the situation as it is, and knowing that they aren't truly wicked women by choice come to find signs of...affection? It can be hard to tell which emotions are valid, but in these beautifully dark stories I'm excited to find out.
