Sign

Sign

There are a few unusual things about Cafe Goyo. Number one, their coffee sucks. Number two, their customers never order off the menu. And number three, Yohan, the cafe manager, is deaf. So when Soohwa joins as a part-timer, though he is not expected to learn how to make good coffee, he is asked to expand his sign language vocabulary beyond the words, “higher,” “pay,” and “please.” But when Yohan offers to give him private lessons, Soohwa is reluctant. Not because he doesn’t want to study, but because he has a “hard” time around Yohan. Like, literally. He gets hard. Whenever he hears Yohan’s deep, sexy voice.

While these two BL webcomics are vastly different in terms of setting and amount of racy content (one is a shounen-ai story, the other is straight up yaoi) they both appeal to readers who like sweet stories with cute scenes, quiet semes who are gentle but protective, and loving characters who develop genuine respect and consideration for each other.

buddingfujoshi22 buddingfujoshi22 says...

Both the stories have humble and considerate semes (unlike a lot of bl out there). It'll surely warm your heart and soul

YukiJaz02 YukiJaz02 says...

I love both of these mangas. The tops are so respectful as well as the bottoms. Both reads were 10/ 10. If you love reading mangas about just pure love and happy ending then these reads are perfect.

SIGN!!! i love sign so much it has been one of my favorite manhwas ever and its adorable and youre going to love yohan with all your heart same goes for yuyang in Here U Are. The plot for both is so good and it really gives so much to love. Here U Are is a really slow burn they dont get together until WAYYY later in the story but in Sign they get together fairly quickly so if youre looking for less of a slow burn read Sign. Here U Are im still currently reading but im almost done with it but so far its so good and you really get to see how much the characters grow especially LiHuan<3

jllybeans jllybeans says...

The overall idea of a tall gentle character paired with a smaller, more feisty one is always a lovely one, and in both Sign and Here U Are, you'll get that. Both are also long-running manga, which means you won't be short on content when you dive in. If you're looking for something without the explicit content (or, with much less of it), Here U Are is a good choice, and Sign definitely leans into the sex much heavier (it's a huge part of the plot), but readers who like one will most likely greatly enjoy the other. The themes are very, very similar overall.

Starting With a Lie

Starting With a Lie

Love and lies don't mix well, so when art student Tang Tang ropes his friend Chen Qingye into pretending to be his boyfriend to stave off unwanted love confessions from his female schoolmates, complications are sure to follow. Chen Qingye is a closeted gay, and now that he and Tang Tang are fake-dating, he has no idea how to admit that his feelings for his faux-boyfriend are very real. Equally clueless Tang Tang also has secret feelings that he doesn't know how to express, and they only seem to grow stronger as time goes on. Can their budding love ever blossom into something real if neither of them has the courage to tell the truth?

The two comics both happen in college between a freshman and his upper classman. They both focuse on the emotional side and are filled with a lot of fluff and cuteness and They have a character knowing hes gay while the other is only finding it out + they are so slowww wich i really love

GossipQueen GossipQueen says...

Its also slow burning manga, where the main charater both are male, and its also about college life, and everyday life in that way, and socialise with friends

I like how the characters in these shounen-ai webcomics are basically decent people trying to do what is kind and right. The romance blossoms slowly in both cases, but is worth it in my opinion.

These two magas are extremely simliar, although Here U Are doesnt have as much magic or dealing with exs, the characters, and character developmant are quite similar. There is the lighthearted chirpy, short-ish guy, and the tall, quiet, cold guy. Both deal with one character being openly gay, and the other slowly discovering he is the same. They also both have very simlilar art and are web comics, if you are looking for something similar to A Guy Like You, with similar, and yet unique characters but a not so similar overal plot (exept for the bl parts) then this is a must read.

Not so much similar as it goes for the story, but the main characters are really alike. In both mangas we have a shy guy who doesn't do that well in social situations and a really outgoing one with a huge smile on his face. Both have an nice art, are set in university and in both in the beggining we have a misunserstanding beetween main characters.
