Tamako reminds me very much of Chitanda Eru. They are both very energetic and positive characters. The way Tamako covers her mouth with her hands has the feel of the way Chitanda acts when she is curious.

Though both anime have a very different storyline, they also have a lot in commen. For example the energetic characters, they make the shows very enjoyable to watch. Also the both revolve around a small group of people, both in school and in their free time.

Both anime also have cute characters, which are also interresting and have their very own individual personallities.

Both anime will quickly draw you in the story.

Both Hyouka and Ghost Hunt have the same idea, which is solving cases through reason and thinking. Ghost Hunt has it's one twist with supernatural aspects while Hyouka is based off reasonable cases of everyday life. Either way, they are great mysteries to watch. If you want some horror and supernatural, watch GhosT Hunt. If you want some slice of life and school life, watch Hyouka.

This is a one way rec to Kamisama no Memo-chou (Heaven's memo pad).

Both series are with that mystery style development, the reason i made this one way is though Memo-chou can be easy going on the side it's actual mysteries used are very serious matters and can be quite realistic, sad even. If you enjoy mystery and want something a little more serious but don't mind that not always serious feel i think it's well worth giving Kamisama no Memo-chou a try.

Both Kamisama no Memochou and Hyouka involve groups of people who solve mysteries together. While Hyouka is more grounded in reality, both are involving and great to watch.

Judged by how character setting is almost man-to-man similar, can't refuse that it will make the overall mood and tone similar too. That's how it's happening. The leading male and narrator, Kyon and Oreki Houtarou, are made from the same mold. Average, not standing out, and does not want to take initiative whatsoever in school activities. And guess what, they are getting pushed around by girl of course, The ultimate reason why any straight man go out of their comfort zone. The story of Hyouka revolve around solving mystery, not a grand one, but very well made. Well made enough to be believable, even when portrayed by 2D fictional character and produced by a studio responsible for one of the most surreal, unbelievably insane jokes show ever. For watching these shows, you got two things to enjoy. First, how the story develop, how the string of mysteries is getting solved, and how the world around main characters reacts. And second, you get to see the development in attitude of the main character, how he sees and reacts to everything changed little by little. We don't see that in every anime. Most of character in animated series are cold-cast and do not change for the rest of the show. So if you want to see a person that is inspired to change themselves, even if they are fictional characters, look no further. You might found some inspiration of your own.

They are very similar animation-wise. They both have pop-up visuals to explain the anime, less obvious in Hyou-ka and more in Nisemonogatari. That revolves around a boy who is average and generally does not stand out.

Both series revolve around a single character in particular that is exceptional at solving mysteries. In Hyou-ka, the mysteries are far more mundane, but have just as complex solutions that Tantei Gakuen Q has, though those mysteries typically involve murder. Another similarity is the school setting. Tantei Gakuen Q focuses on a class that solves mysteries, while Hyou-ka features a school club that solves mysteries. The ensemble casts have some similarities, but Hyou-ka revolves more on one main character. If you liked Tantei Gakuen Q, you will no doubt enjoy Hyou-ka for the far more stylized approach. If you like Hyou-ka, you will no doubt notice the similarity in the logic behind deducing the solutions to the mysteries. Both series have a similar tone, especially in regard to the way each mystery is taken seriously. They also both have their fair share of amusing moments.

These two have more than awesome animation and music. Also, the moods of both anime sit well with each other. The characters are simmilar in both growth and design, and the urban mystery and everyday life intertwine marvelously together. Basically, if you like one, the other one is a strong recommendation - you will not regret it! :)

Kimi ni Todoke - From Me To You

Sawako Kuronuma is just like any other high school girl who wants to make friends and be useful. The only problem is she bears a worrying resemblance to Sadako from 'The Ring!' Because of her reputation, people are not only terrified of her, but small dogs even bark in fear at her presence; in fact, the only person in school who will talk to her is the lively class hottie, Kazehaya. As the pair spends more time together, Kazehaya slowly begins to bring Sawako out of her shell and soon their feelings for each other develop further. Though with her crippling insecurities, lack of social skills, and a series of cruel rumors and misunderstandings, it seems that Sawako's dream of a normal life won’t be quite so easy to obtain.

They are both the types of Animes that just get your heart/school vibe jumping! After watching both I can easily tell you that if you, even for a little bit liked either one of these, you will love the other.

Hyouka: You Can't Escape is a great Anime because you can easily relate to the main character. If you have an annoying younger sibling, of know what it is like to have one, you can relate to his feelings about the whole ordeal.

Kimi ni Todoke is more for those slow love anime watchers. The main characters both have feelings for each other, but when finally pu- I won't say anymore; watch for yourself ;)

The Animes have a similar art style and once you watch one of them you won't be able to help yourself but to watch the other one. The romance between the charaters is the only difference.

In Hyouka, you can only watch from a far as "love" grows where as in Kimi ni Todoke you can see that the love grows rapidly at first and then slows down.

Well, that's all I have to say for that! If you ever wanted to watch one of these, now’s your chance :)
