I appreciated the humorous way this Sisyphus-like story was told--endless repetition, the impossibility of breaking the cycle. At least in the beginning, for the first four or so chapters, when it felt like it honestly might never wind down and the chapters were very obvious in how they were built off of the same skeleton. Rather than ending it the way that this manga did, I would've preferred if the group of heroes literally never left the forest and if new heroes just slowly replaced those who were killed. Basically, if it had been made truly repetitive, truly endless, truly without purpose or hope. That would've been cool. The moral of the story, as it were, relates to how people can always find excuses to create rifts with others. While showing people getting triggered and animosity developing, it includes some modernly relevant concepts such as social justice warriors, clickbait reporting, hipsters, and feminism vs. misogyny. It feels likely that the author has felt annoyance at some or all of these groups and at some of the other personality types which fe portrays as sparking problems. I like the variety of art styles used in the character designs and I found the artwork to be very appealing overall (even if some of the individual styles are technically ugly or simplistic).
