Both stories have a female lead, sword fighting, royal political scheming, and growth from weak to strong through hard work. One has a larger cast and the other has cross dressing, but they're both about girls becoming strong women.

they are not Suuupeer similar but they do have some common points so if you liked one you'll probably like the other. The main part where these two stories diverge in plot is that From far away isn't a reverse harem (Yona of the dawn isn't either but it's categorized as such) and Yona can protect herself while the girl from- from far away is a little damsel in distress esq - she wasn't annoying though, I quite liked her and I don't really do shojo.

Yona of the Dawn and Cradle of Heaven are very similar plots. If you like one, you will probably like the other. In CoH the lead is male, while in YOTD has a female lead. Celestial beings vs demons. You start out with an Emporer (ML) who has to collect 4 cardinal guardians to reclaim his throne which was taken by a demon.

The leads are very similar. They are both women who gradually learn their own strengths and fight to protect the people they care about. They are kind and want to help people in any way they can, and are also verrrrry capable of doing so.

Anddd definitely important, the male leads are both total simps (being kind of oblivious or hardheaded at first) and they'd do anything to protect their girls.

Spoilers about both protagonists

Reincarnated princesses setting on a journey to find their guardians and decides to fight to make the world a better place, whereas they end up caring more about the friends that made them enabled to live and learns to find the courage in themselves. Usagi and Yona are both spoiled teenagers at the beginning but they become mature women who knows how to take care of themselves and protect those dear to them. Although Sailor Moon manga is far better, darker due to being high fantasy and an important classic, anyone who liked one of these series for their concept, underlying messages, stories and characters would like the other one.
