Haha, lmao, who the heck graded this 4 stars? Story is rushed af. It's the worst at the start where there are short chapters and whole scenes missing to the point I wondered if half of the chapters was missing, but it got better later (not that it stopped happening), so I guess it was a real thing. As for story itself, it's terribly cliche - the typical "I was a peak cultivator, but my best buddy backstabbed me when I had my guard down, so now that I somehow was reborn (with a cheat, of course), imma go and kill the bastard." It's not really bad per se, but as I said, nothing new there, and it has nothing special about it, either. What makes things worse, however, is that I apparently almost read the story (168/190 chapters), but it doesn't feel like the story even reached the halfway point, so I don't think I'll return to finish reading... Art is horrible at the start, though it gets better a bit later. It's clearly a novice artist, and the only thing that saves this manhua is basically being colored instead of black and shades of gray like manga. Well, if the story and characters were better, we could at least enjoy it while ignoring the art, but... Meh. The only saving grace is that the artist put some effort into drawing love interests (one of them looks really bland, tho), mc, and some antagonists, which is clear to see because they stand out compared to otherwise bland character art. Characters are pretty bland and meh too, MC included. Part of the blame falls on the fact that the story is rushed, the rest on the fact that there's no real characterization and all characters are cliche af. If you know what an arrogant young master is, then you know half of the characters in the story (no shit, some guys didn't grow up, and still act like young master despite being middle-aged or even elders). The chicks are pretty annoying, including main cast, with perhaps a few exceptions. The guys who fawn on MC because he has high-level knowledge and skills are the staple bread of this story too. Oh, right. Translation is a bit garbage too, though at least it's readable. Some chapters starting from their middle part and placing the first half in the second instead is quite annoying, though, and there are some chapters that seem to have been skipped, though tbh I dunno if it wasn't that way in the raw already since it's so prevalent. Overall, this story is only good to kill time if you're REALLY dessparate, and I would've ranked it 2/10 if not for the fact that I haven't finished reading it, and there's a minor chance that the story would improve slightly, but I only expect it would by that 1 point, hence 3/10.
