WOW! This isn't an easy reading but is masterfully written.
I really don't want to give any spoilers 'cus I want people read this work, so here my review spoilers free.
Hibari is somehow cursed, this 14 years girl is surrounded for people who don't see her, they see what they want or need from her. Has the greatest curse that a woman can suffer, beauty, so she's doom to be heated for women who see her as a treat, a rival, and to desired by men who will always see her as a play thing. Chapter 8 was especially hard to read for me T_T
Here I will talk a little about our main characters, those hateful, despicable, petty, very human characters that make this work a self reflection piece.Tomiko (28), how disappointed I felt about here lack of empathy, caring, actions and words to Hibari. I can totally understand she's mentality fuck up but come on! Dude, Hibari is a kid, a girl who literally has no one.....and that last words betweeKenn you and Hibari.....make me fucking hate you so much!Kento (30), you are a potencial sexual predator, and you can't say anything to convince me other wise. Even though you need to check you moral compass about sexual issue with KIDS ('cus Hibari is just a kid!) you though about helping, but thinking about it isn't enough, right? You chased the girl when you thought you could fuck her but barely move a finger to helper when you realized she was a kid in danger, shame on you fucking coward!Michika (14), you are so fucking mess up, you're a psychopath waiting to actually kill, but you don't have the ability to kill them with your own hands, for now you use your tongue. You are the scariest character on this work.Tsuji-sensei, you need to be ashamed of yourself!Hibari' parents, please go and die!Kan (31), the moronic cousin who want to fuck his 14 years cousin and worry 'cus maybe his girlfriend don't let him do it.....you can burn in hell you MF! You are a wordless piece of shit, even though you were the first person she tried to reach out your stupid self did everything worst. Hate you so fucking much!!!!Hibari (14), I know you are confused, angry, scared, lonely, hurt. Be surrmounded for people and still feel lonely can be a scary feeling. Unable to trust no one but yourself, and at times feeling like you can't even trust yourself 'cus you still wait for kindness, you still hope for someone to help you, you still want to trust, even though you know better. But you know what? Without darkness light can't shine, without pain can't be relieve, without sadness can't be happiness. I know that for now you think you don't have the strength to keep on going, but in 10 years your scares would be war wounds on a warrior who survived, don't be ashamed of them. I wish I could hug you and give you save heaven.
This manga is one of those works that shakes you and leave you with a sour taste, still is an amazing that should be a MOST on every "good reading".
Here some quotes that make shock me, because not only have I read them but I have heard them and that is scary as hell for a mother of two girls.
Kento (abt Hibari)"I hope I don't get cough, but I guess if no one finds out I'll be fine....look at her, she may be in junior high but there's no way she hasn't done it" (I wish I could peel off your skin you fucker!)
Michika (abt Hibari)"she said she thinks maybe her dad is sexually abusing her, and it's like, girl, you're totally asking for it" (give me a metal bat, and leave me for 20 minutes with Michika, ALONE!)
Michika (abt her view abt life)"They say the miseryof others taste as sweet as honey" ( if this ain't creepy dunno what is!)
Tomiko (her mess up way of thinking)"I'm being eaten away, until I disappear and the only one who can stop it is a man" (fucking hell!! This girl have SERIOUS SELF-ESTEEM ISSUES.... don't care if she thinks she need to be rescued be a guy, she can think she need a unicorn, a price, an angel, the fact is that she thinks she need other person to have real value, she needs other to be able to accept herself....self love don't require of other, start in you and can be only be fed by you)
Hibari (abt herself)"I guess I'm that sort of girl, the type someone would try something with.... like groping" (I want to teach her so many things....)
But.....who is Hibari?
"Is not the sort of girl her classmates wild rumors make out to be. She's not the slutty girl adults seem to expect. Sure she looks a little grown up for her age but she's an ordinary foolish child, a bit more timid than most and still ignorant about sex"
At the end, if you want to read this work you need to have the ability to manage the heaviness of it's reality.
