Will the people that know of their past help them, or not? Well you're just going to have to find out on your own ‘cause I'm not telling you the answers. XP

Kurenai

Kurenai

To make money, high school student Shinkurou Kurenai works for the secretive Benika as a "dispute mediator," acting to intervene in the disputes of clients – often violently. One day, Benika gives him a much different assignment: to protect Murasaki Kuhoin, a seven-year-old girl from the wealthy Kuhoin family. This turns out to be a more troublesome task than he expects, as Murasaki is spoiled, naive, and completely unaware of what life is like outside of the luxurious one she had previously. He also has no idea why Murasaki needs his protection, though he is slowly obtaining details from a well-informed classmate. Adding to his problems, Shinkurou still must continue to do his previous work for Benika and take care of his social relationships in school while protecting Murasaki, complicating his entire life. Nonetheless, as time passes, he and Murasaki grow close; however, trouble brews in the shadows as everyone - including Shinkurou - seems to be harboring secrets...

Both Kurenai and Blood Alone feature a male lead who is a private investigator of sorts. Both of them could be described as badass nice guys. Probably because of that both of them are rather popular with the opposite sex. As it happens both of those series also feature a younger girl who is in love with the male lead and whom the male lead takes care of. If you liked one of those two series than the other one might be worth a try too.

Now Akira must work to keep Mina safe and attend to her every whim as the young princess attends school. But what exactly are Mina’s motives for setting up the vampire district in the first place, and just who is behind all the attempts upon her life?

For starters both series are vampire ones and both feature vampires infiltrating human society. That sounds like every other vampire flick, but somehow the style of those two series is slightly different. Both of those series feature a female vampire who looks younger than she actually is as a female lead (though the girl in Blood Alone is only a teenager anyway). If you liked one of those two manga, than you might find the other one interesting too. Just keep in mind that Dance in the Vampire Bund has slightly more mature content

Blood Alone and The Girl From the Other Side are similar to each other. Both are about the relationship between and human and a monster, where the older takes care of the younger and protects her. Both struggle with there monster sides, and both are verry cute. ^_^
