Between Yearning and Obsession

Julia, a lowly servant from the marquess' estate, has no idea how she lost the ability to speak. With no memories before the age of twelve, she's simply been told a certain incident traumatized her. While everyone treats her harshly at the estate, Julia has been able to barely survive with the help of Camille, the second son of the marquess. Camille even helps her speak again using his special power, "Arcana." However, that's when the jealous servants plot against Julia and throw her out of the estate. The duke's eldest son, Glen, stumbles upon injured Julia and takes care of her. Now, between Camille's obsessive passion and Glen's genuine affection, which one would Julia choose?

This story is like eating a new food and going "Meh, it's okay." It's not great. In fact, if there are other options you'll probably prefer going for those. If this is all that's available you'll still eat it. It won't be satisfying, but it'll be "okay."The story itself is kinda bland. It's enough to keep you reading, but not enough to keep you from wanting to hurry up and get to the end to be done with it. The romance is pretty rushed, but the story still doesn't end fast enough - it's a weird feeling.Warning for if you have triggers related to abusive relationships or extremely manipulative people because this is literally full of them. Not only is it full of extremely obsessive psychos (all crazy over the FL mind you, which gets to be pretty cringe) - but they keep trying to slip in little things that I assume are supposed to be "redeeming" for them (like the oh-so-pitiful 2nd ML's backstory), and then at the end they do this weird romanticizing the ABUSIVE 2nd "male lead" because at the end he did something that was, for once, not selfish (but was still kinda framed to be selfish). The FL comes across as stupidly naive at times (which you might can brush off because she was raised being abused and manipulated her whole life), the ML is generally nice but some of his thoughts still border on unhealthy or obsessive (which you might could look past because he is literally the only one who DESPITE those thoughts does try to do what's best for her with his actions), and there are two ladies that are minor antagonists that really don't deserve to go back to being on good terms with the FL that she just forgives immediately (which was super annoying). It's stupid. It's not the worst thing I've read and I did read the entire story, but it's stupid, and I probably won't ever think about this again.
