This ova is very flawed, as you can already see in the representing image. I honestly think naming the flaws would take more time than actually writing down what could be called 'redeeming' factors. And even the redeeeming factors are not really that great. The 'good' things about this anime are: - It's short - There is effort, though minimal - It 'tries' to get a good message across I checked this one out purely because I was hoping for something so flawed and stupid it would be comedic, but after watching it I concluded it was just too short for it to be considered comedic, the voices are waaaay too cringy to enjoy the stupidness that occurs within it's so called 'story'. I wouldn't really recommend this to anyone, it doesn't really add anything to your life, if I were you I'd either look for something even more ridiculous or just watch something good.
Ijimen is the attempt of making a serious reflection on bulling but failing completely. First of all nobody is like that at high school. Nobody cares if a classmate has more money for the lunch break, more than a high school it feels like a cult with the whole "sacrifice" thing. People are just trying to live their life, it's nothing like that. You have my word as someone who is still in high school. The whole "the leader rich girl with two friends that stabs her back" trope or the "classmate seeing her friend bullied but doing nothing" trope is so exploited that basically I could predict the 15 mins minutes of the ova with just the description. Really just ridiculous and obviously forcing the plot to have an "and everyone lived happily ever after" ending. I get what they tried to achieve with this short, teaching kids about bullying with anime since that is the only thing they care about, but it was done so poorly that their intentions were just wasted. Also, just being petty here, but the eyes. C´om literally unbearable to watch for more than two seconds though I do understand it was in the 2012 but still. Overall maybe worth a watch since its short runtime. I give it a 1/5 or 3/10. Thanks for reading my stupid opinions.
