The similarities are really obvious. Both series have one loser of a guy as main character and a lot of girls who'd love to sex him up. Also magic plays a really important role in both series. Possibly the best recommendation for eachother as there are no real major differences.

CuthienSilmeriel CuthienSilmeriel says...

Both Maburaho and Psychic Academy are about a shy loser male lead who is still loveable all the same for his strength of heart. The male lead happens to possess incredible dormant potential which has limitations restricting its use; this puts them in the below-average underdog role. In both anime, the theme of schools and girls are ever present, as well as a sense of fantasy.

With perverted situations at every turn, Mifune finds himself in frequent compromising positions, whether the group is participating in swimsuit bungee jumping, riding a yogurt slide in pairs or even seductively eating phallic food.

Fanservice galore! Both series have a certain ammount of fanservice as well of sillyness. They also mainly involve the schoollife at unusual schools. You should keep in mind that the size of the boobies in Eiken might need some gettingused to. there is also no magic or whatsoever in Eiken.

High school life and fighting including magic/unique powers and abilities. The are some differences though... Psychic Academy clearly has quite a bit more fanservice and focusses somewhat less on fighting. You should keep in mind that Bleach has a whole lot slower pace as compared to Psychic Academy, as Psychic Academy have only short episodes.

Psychic acadamy and Mamoru-kun ni Megami no Shukufuku wo!are both anime about characters going to a special school to learn to control their special abilities. Love interests, comedic relief. In both there are two different love interests and sometimes it hard to decide who to root for. These anime go perfect for each other

When I first saw the Kei powers in Chrome Shelled Regios it reminded me right away of the powers the charcters have in Psychic Academy. Although thats where the similarities end between the two. They are both have a similar feel of the powers if thats what you are looking for.

Both of these series have strikingly similar plotlines. In both series, there arises a new sub-population of people with extraordinary powers of a psychic nature. In psychic acadeny these powers are known as "auras", while in s-cry-ed they are known as "alters". In both series, each person has their own individual type of aura/alter. Each series also has a governmental group that is seemingly trying to corral & educate these special people, but which seem to have something more sinister up their sleeves.

Psychic academy has a lighter tone than s-cry-ed, but if you liked the plot of one, you will also like the other.

Chrome Shelled Regios and To Aru Kagaku no Railgun have obvious initial similarity: Students with special abilities. Beyond that, both series have a strong social component between the characters in the storylines that I feel is somewhat similar.

If you enjoyed one of these series, you should try the other.

A classic romantic comedy from the 1980's, telling the bittersweet story of three high school students. The series features very unique storytelling and direction, music from some of the biggest Japanese pop acts of the 1980's, and an added twist as Kyosuke and his family are ESPers, whose powers are used to tell unique stories and put the characters in unusual situations.
