I was elated when I started to watch "He is My Master". It wasn't really much that I liked the anime, but the similarities and different aspects of it compared to "They are my Noble Masters" was refreshing and sorta kinlike. While both series focus on protagonists that are down on their luck with no job and little to no money. In both series they find jobs as maids/housekeepers to some wierd, and heavily echii hosts all the while fullfilling their duties, and denying some of the others lol. I found the transition between these 2 animes was one of the easiest I've had.

Grach Grach says...

The two of these anime are entirely similar. They feature a group of runaways who are then taken in by masters that are perverted in some way. The feature the usual ecchi situations, and more!

Both of these animes have a similar plot line to them. The butler in training is hired due to the head of the house taking interest in him. Both animes show how the protagonist getes used to the life of a butler and all the weird things that come from being one.

wanryavka wanryavka says...

Oh for the love of God do I need to explain? Both are commedies about down on their luck guys who get hired as a butler by some rich chick. The biggest difference is They Are My Noble Masters is much much more ecchi. So if you like the comedy of They Are My Noble Masters, but wouldn't mind a downgrade in ecchiness then you'd love Hayate the Combat Butler.

MrRixa MrRixa says...

Well Hayate the Combat Butler and They are my noble masters are much alike.

In both there is the butler - master love/interest relationship and in both series the butler goes through training to become great butler.

They are my noble masters has more ecchi theme, but i'll pretty much think that when you are laughing at Hayate the combat butler's jokes you'll forget the ecchi :D

A butler  protagonist, maids, BOOBS, a harem transcending both social class and order, panty shots, comedy, simple plot,  nudity; need i say more.

I guarantee both animes will appeal to us, perverted folk. Kimi (They are my noble masters) is way more developed plot-wise, and contains several parodies of famous action shounens. Also, the settings differ - Kimi follows the traditional servant type situation, which involves a mansion ofc, while LvB mainly focues on a special Private Academy that teaches the high class proper etiquette, while teaching the lower class students to be proper maids and butlers- although, both do involve the main protagonists learning what it takes to become butlers.

All in all, if you like one, you'll like the other. Two peas in a pod.

RedCrossRobbery RedCrossRobbery says...

Looking for ecchi comedies involving butlers and other servants? Then these two will probably help out.

zetazach zetazach says...

Both animes revolve around a male protagonist butler serving their female masters. In Ladies Versus Butlers!, the protagonist is at a high class school for rich girls and servants, while in They Are My Noble Masters, the protagonist and his sister land a job as servants for three rich sisters after running away from home.

The aura of both Ojou-sama is quite the same and their interaction to their servants is quite amusing. If you enjoyed any of these I think you will enjoy the latter.

Although there are many differences we can see the two problematic families without parents, who have their servants looking after them, all having their different portions of supernatural(like) powers, and their overwhelming links for their masters.

The emotional connection between masters and servants in Kamen no maid Guy and They are my Noble Masters is amazing.  The servants in these series will do absolutely anything for their masters even with the chance of risking their lives and just about do.

I supose if you liked this one you'll find the other one entertaining. Both series are quite Ecchi. Both Ren and Tarou tend to get in quite Ecchi situations all the time. But this time its the other way arund, Tarou are the master, Ren is the butler. To put it simple and not to make you guys/girls confused. In They are my noble masters Ren's the butler, And in Hanauky maid team Tarou's the master simple huh? :P. So it's the otherway arund in this story. However if you tend to not feeling satisfy with parts left out in the story such as backround story. I'm not saying theay leave it out completely but still feels like theres missing parts. If so I do not recomend Theay are my noble masters for you.

Both animes revolve around a guy, who find them selves leaving their original home and basically starting a new life for their own reasons. They both end up in a harem comedy like atmopsphere with a pretty large cast of characters each with their own unique personalities affecting our male protagonists for better or worse. They both have great comedy value and their random moments If you liked one i'm sure you'll like the other

One of the main focuses of both shows is the theme of the importance of family. They Are My Noble Masters focuses around comedy, whereas Higurashi is a more violent show, but the underlying theme is the same, and the other show is recommended on that note alone.

These series seems to be related, with a couple of characters actually showing up in both of them. And other than that, they're still pretty similar: teens with some sort of superpowers (or at least superhuman physical abilities), lots of ecchi, shiptease and perverted joke, and a good dose of humour. They also try to pack in some more serious plot points... how well that works depend on the viewer though. Anyway, if you want a fanservice-y lighearted harem comedy with some absurdities along the way, then both of these are for you.

I'm simply recommending these two because they are both light hearted animes with a story you can more or less care about. They are both harems with there typical anime gags and relatively similar humor. Note: They do have excessive amounts of deviant behavior. If you are into that and want some quick laughs either will do.

   Cheers,
