Sakamoto's old classmates want to make a movie about his past deeds. They discuss what kind of movie would be best, and wonder what he is doing in America since he left to join a space program. Is he thwarting American bullies? Being chased by a mob of adoring female astronauts? Flying a rocket to Mars? With Sakamoto, you never know!
SPOILER AHEAD The story is nothing special, it is mostly the same except different country and maybe the space thing. The first part about the movie was a bit funny but still, it is not special. So I do not really recommend watching it except you want to laugh and remember the series.
Oh boy, A clip show full of unfunny clips….. Story - 1/10 After Sakamoto leaves to join NASA in America, his friend Kubota creates a movie trailer about him. As each group of characters shows up they reimagine the trailer in their own way, putting their spin on the scene from the start of the series where the bullies try to prank Sakamoto in various ways. Animation - 6/10 There wasn’t too much of a difference from the series, though creating all these different scenarios allowed them to widen the locations and show a little more than just the school grounds. Sound - 4/10 Much of this special mimics the series itself, but with the lack of some great music during the series comes a drop in the score. Characters - 2/10 They packed in almost every character from the series, while making them all do exactly the same thing, fawn over Sakamoto. Overall - 2/10 You would think for a recap they would try to put in some of the funniest moments, or at least add some humor to those scenes, but instead it was more of them same bad premise and non-jokes from the series. I honestly can’t tell what they were thinking with this series as it doesn’t appear as if they were trying to be funny, and seemed more as if a writer, named Sakamoto, was trying to show his co-workers how he was so cool as a kid.
