While out collecting dragon balls, Goten, Videl and Trunks stumble upon a small village that has been under frequent attack by a monster. Our friends are more than happy to help the villagers out, but what they don’t know is that deep within the icy mountains lies an even greater threat – a warrior that has been asleep for seven years. Brolly, the Legendary Super Saiyan, is back. Still thinking only about Goku he ravages the land, fighting the present Z-Warriors until they can fight no more. Will the gang be able to once more withstand Brolly’s powerful attacks?
Not the best and not the worse dragon ball movie I may be apathetic to it being spoiled by more modern drawings of anime but this was unimpressive. Pros: It's a Dragon Ball Z "Movie" Cons: It's another Dragon Ball Z "Movie". See here's where Dragon Ball Z does it well, it does great animation for the time that it comes out in the early 90s beautiful animation. Early 2000s same animation so it kind of works, but it kind of doesn't. 2010 same animation stopped, no more. Broly only says one word, what was the voice actor paid per letter? Wasn't that good, a super basic plot and fights. I mean if you like Broly or are a super fan of DBZ watch otherwise avoid it it's ok but not good.
Figured I'd brush up on some of the DBZ movies since DB super is coming out. Read this article about how awesome Broly was as a Villian. TBH, I don't know wtf they were watching because this guy has a one word vocabulary. He just grunts and says "kakarot". The action was lame and the storyline blew. I guess my expetation weren't all that high considering this *is* an anime movie. I think they focused a lot more than they should on that village. It's a distraction and took away from a movie. If you were fighting one of the most powerful adversaries in the universe... you'd think you would take them seriously and power up to your max... right? They just fought in SS1 the entire time... I don't know... At least it's another knotch in my anime belt, although a pretty crappy one.
