Sengoku Basara: Samurai Kings

Dec 8, 2016

So i'm going to start this one with a clarification, i've never played the games of Sengoku Basara, i don't know if this show is a faithful adaptation to the games (i played the more superior Samurai warriors games) So first things first, i hate what they did with Nobunaga, he basically becomes a horrble bland character devoid of any personality or ambition. I get they need a big bad but they could have done it a lot better.  On the upside they did do a good job with Masamune and Yukimura, both had some development and you could tell they were well liked by their subordinates. Overall it's not... See full review

Circuit Angel: Ketsui no Starting Grid

Sep 3, 2016

Do you like older animation? Do you like 80's as hell soundtracks? Do you like bikes? If you said yes to all three then this show is for you! Circuit Angel is no Speed Racer, not by a long shot but it's fun, has a likeable protagonist and an asshole antagonist (what more could you want). SO! The story is all about how Mariko severely needs a better father who can take her bike keys away from her and hide them in a better place but instead we focus on how she drives recklessly around on her 250cc motorbike and goes off with her friends who also have bikes. So they are driving around being nuts on a... See full review

Hotori: Tada Saiwai wo Koinegau

Sep 1, 2016

So this is a story all about a young boybot who is slowly but surely being turned into a vessel for a dead boy. One day his baseball decides to be the most errant plot device ever and flings itself into a house/sanatorium/hospital thing(never told me what it actually is). Inside said sanatorium thingy he finds a young girl, who basically has either epilepsy, strokes or severe alzheimers, which makes her forget her memories every time she has an episode. They quickly become friends and have larks around the place, also there is not a single person in this place aside from them. She takes him to her special... See full review

Joker: Marginal City

Jul 1, 2016

This show is fun, not other way to put it.  We follow Rin our plucky young cop who has to try and catch a serial killer who isn't after his superiors gorgeous moustache. Enter sexually ambigious duo! We have the serial killer a manish android with no junk and a womanly voice and then we have Joker the ambigious in that she/he/it/they can turn into a male or female at whim. Story: Classic police style story, serial killer on the loose gotta go gettim Animation: Sadly it does show its age a bit (aside from the aviators, moustache and 90's tank tops) but it's still quite good looking. ... Buki yo Saraba

Jun 23, 2016

The final short in the Short Peace OVA this is a fun action romp through post apocalypic Tokyo. We follow a team dedicated to gathering and disarming weapons and armaments that encounter an automated defense system dedicated to protecting a now defunct city. Now this is just a fun thing to watch, the action is well done, the suits in movment could be better done but its still pretty gorgeous animation a must watch if you like military-esk action stuff. Tansu Warashi.

Jun 21, 2016

Well well well, what a plot and it delivers on being a cutesy show with that plot. If you like a journey of development aided by 6 spirits then this is the show for you! Story: So it's simple, mom sends chest of drawers, drawers have spirits in each drawer, spirits help out and make girl better. Easy, simple, hard to mess up and they didn't. Animation: Quite a clean oldish style animation which im kinda a sucker for only thing that was a drawback was fast movement scenes where it blurred quite a bit. Sound: kinda meh, opening was dreary, ending sounded like "no woman no cry" with a... See full review

Lunn wa Kaze no Naka

Jun 13, 2016

As there is no synopsis for the show i may as well give my own :D Lunn wa Kaze no Naka is all about a young boy who when walking under an overpass becomes transfixed on a poster of a young girl advertising coffee, after staring at it for a bit the poster begins to talk, he then rips the poster off the wall and takes it home. Well that's the entire plot and that's about all you get out of it really, he starts talking to the poster, having rage fits, trying to kill himself and looking for the girl in the poster. Overall it's not bad, not offensive, just not great either. Reviewed as part of...

Go! Go! 575

Jun 2, 2016

So if you want to watch something that has no substance, you have come to the right place! The two main girls are a wild, crazy one with an obssession with haikus and a fear of kites (bird not a kite on a string) and the other is a bland slightly more serious but really doesnt show it. The story thinks it is there but it's just the crazy girls wish to do something with 5-7-5 after reading a thing about pancakes. Animation wise its nice, not terrible and doesn't go crazy with weird reactions. Overall its kinda bland, only upside was the temptation of girl on girl with the 3rd character who had a thing... Haitai Nanafa 2

Jun 1, 2016

So here we are on Season 2 of Haitai Nanafa and boy is it an improvement on s1. Story: The improvement on comedy and the keeping more to the same theme throughout episodes actually made such an improvment to the overall enjoyment of the show. Animation: Their budget is stupid and the person that funds them is insane. Sound: Two points here for Mario jump plink, rest of it works well for the show, not much of an improvement over s1. Characters: Doubled it's points from season 1 for one character's interactions with others. Overall: Well this shocked me, honestly it did, i expected some... See full review

Haitai Nanafa

Jun 1, 2016

Not typically my cup of tea when it comes to genres but here i go! Story: There isn't one, theres a brief moment where they try to show off this is the story but it lies, it's a collection of non connected short episodes so the whole plot boils down to, "here is some fairies they do silly things and we laugh". Animation: Holy crap the stuff they do in this, there is not one fixed style in any episode, out of nowhere you can expect to see something with the quality of Fate in a silly little short show and it amazes me beyond possibilty. Sound: Like animation it does have amazing sound... See full review

Digimon Adventure Tri. Movie 2: Determination

Mar 15, 2016

*Spoilers!*      Well well well, where to start on this movie... So it starts off where the first Tri movie leaves off and goes nowhere at all for the first hour, like no joke it does nothing to further the plot in any way, instead we get treated to a spa day, a school festival and Joe crying in his room about the magical digital monsters and world getting in the way of him trying to study. Oh and the Digimon Emperor is still a thing even though it’s like 2 years after all of that but he’s still rocking those sweet shades! Then the last 20 minutes happen and boy do they...
