Watching anime in the 90s and 2000s is what got me into sci-fi anime. Through Toonami (through Giant Robot Week), Adult Swim, G4TechTV and Comcast's Anime On Demand (where I found Argento Soma featuring Sandy FOX's voice).
In 2008, I set foot in Mexico and saw Spanish subbed episodes of Fafner in the Azure. Watched it English dubbed later and loved it ever since. Megan Hollingshead did a great job along with the Bang Zoom people. Megan definitely did so much more than 4Kids dubbed anime.
I thought FMA was fantasy, but it's great too. Now I'm remembering the adventures of Ed and Al.
By the way, I completely forgot about Yui Horie being the voice of Sue Harris from Argento Soma, another sci-fi anime that I thought was pretty underrated. I feel sorry for that one dweeb hating on Sue, because she's cool and upbeat like my old friend from Ohio.
But yeah! Lara Jill Miller is a great actress too.
