He meets up with his servant, Haruie, and they learn that several clans have rallied together and are seeking a mandala made up of the hair of deceased soldiers and the spirit of Araki. Takaya, along with his fellow possessors, Naoe and Hariue, must keep the mandala from falling into the other clan’s hands and exorcise the spirits possessing the mandala. Hariue must also exorcise Akari to keep him from the enemy, but hesitates because he resembles her lover from two hundred years ago. With Haruie’s conflicting emotions and the explosive relationship between Takaya and Naoe, will they be successful at defeating their latest threat or will they be each other’s downfall?
