Woman's Best Friend

There’s a crazy dog at Sungwoon Publishing Company. It has an expressionless face, a monotone voice, cold and dark eyes, and a difficult personality. Its name is Woojoon Seo. But is this man really crazy? Taeryung is exhausted from love, work, and even her her own family. To the tired Taeryung, Woojoon’s gentle and tender actions seem more like of a loveable pet than of a crazy dog. She doesn’t know what to make of him! At times, he seems like a loyal doberman and others, a cute maltese. What's a girl to do?

This webtoon was such a surprise! I had it downloaded since months (I like to binge) but for some reason kept putting it off, might be because I couldn't find any reviews for it and also because of the modern-minimalistic art style. So, if you're hesitant about reading this, this is the review you've been in search of. Definitely read it! The story is simple, the summary above doesn't do it any justice. It's about a girl, who due to curcumstances is very nice, a people pleaser. However, unlike other webtoons, it's not annoying here, especially since you get to see why she is the way she is. She starts working at a publishing company where her manager is known as the 'crazy dog' because of how strict and punctual he is about work. The story is about their romance, but more than that, it's about finding your voice, learning to rely on people, and seeing just how much potential you have, only if you're willing to see it. The Female mc: she was a bit annoying at first, but it eventually becomes endearing, you learn to love her and can't help but root for her. She falls, cries, gets hurt, but picks herself up, and learns from her mistakes. This webtoon shows one of the best character development in any romance webtoon that I've read. The male mc: he was different than other male mcs that I've read. He wasn't a player nor was he someone who dislikes women or someone who is cold for no reason. He's dense, vulnerable, blunt, open with his feelings, shy at times, and most importantly, helps the female mc grow into the woman she was always meant to be. That's what I like about this webtoon; the relationship between the two mcs was so healthy! They made each other better people, didn't force either to change, and you see them slowly fall in love.  The story has good pacing, excellent supporting characters, none of the misunderstandings get stretched for too long, and eventually you'll fall in love with this webtoon like I did. P.S. some websites have a missing chapter i.e. ch63, read it on manhuascan or tapas because it's super duper cute. If I hadn't made it clear enough, this webtoon is absolutely recommended! Excuse me while I go cry now since I have to find another josei romance webtoon as good as this ._.
