both are set in an all girl class, and focusing mostly on friendship and dramas. in both we can see various characters with their own uniqueness and traits, and see all of them develop. both have smart, logical, and brave MCs that's kinda morally grey imo. both are also full of tactical strategies!! if you like surviving romance, be sure to check out pyramid game too.

You'd defenitly enjoy Pyramid Game if you liked Surviving Romance and viseversa!

I think both are similar due to their characters and story. Both characters have to use analytical tactics and win over people. The stories are both set in a highschool classroom and trust is something important in both. However while Surviving Romance is set in a fantasy world, Pyramid Game takes place in our time and day.

both of these stories have stuck with me thoooo neither were lighthearted reads :')

What would you do if you found out that you were in fact a character in a comic? And an extra character on top of that? Change the course of the story, obviously!

While HIFIIJ isn't horror, both webtoons are about protagonists aware that they are in a book, and trying to find their way around. Both protagonists have a will of their own, and, in general, are highly interesting.

Aaand that's mostly the similarities. "Survive Romance" will probably have less romance, based on the summary and the genre, but there are only 7 chapters as of now, so we'll see. Both webtoons' premises are unique and deserve a read.

One of these is one of the most romantic stories I've ever read and the other doesn't even count as a romance 😂. Still, the both have great writing, share similar premises, and make you FEEL things. Highly recommend both.

My Life as an Internet Novel

My Life as an Internet Novel

Every novel has the usual cast: a gorgeous heroine, handsome boys vying for her attention, and a homely best friend at the heroine’s side. Dani, an ordinary student and avid reader of internet novels, is all too familiar with these tropes. But she never imagined that one day she’d wake up at the center of one herself! Her new fictional world is complete with a beautiful best friend named Yeoryung, and four impossibly good-looking boys who all happen to be in her class. Dani is determined to stay out of the way and not get involved in the twists and turns of the plot. But is she really just the sidekick -- or is Dani actually the leading lady? Anything is possible in the world of a novel!

Similar concept of real life people aware that they've transmigrated into a webnovel world. Both protagonists are interesting, and I enjoyed reading both of their thought processes. Both have some sort of mystery in them, but "Survive Romance" is scarier, as it's in the horror genre.

Both don't have romance as the driving force of the story, and instead have platonic relationships (the power of friendship/teamwork!) as the more dominant force. Although "Survive Romance" hasn't reached where it explores the protagonist's friend-relationships with the "extras", the summary sets up my expectation.

AmberShadowX AmberShadowX says...

Both stories are based on a girl becoming a character in a light novel, where she struggles forming genuine relationships due to her awareness that everyone around her is a 'character', and where the 'characters' slowly gain awareness of her unique situation. Both are psychological dramas

The Skeleton Soldier Failed to Defend the Dungeon

The Skeleton Soldier Failed to Defend the Dungeon

Meet the Skeleton Soldier, a meager but fiercely loyal fighter who serves to protect its master, Lady Succubus. Its dream of a peaceful life with her is shattered when they're both brutally murdered by a group of warriors one day. Follow the Skeleton Soldier as it faces the most challenging quest of all—rewriting the ending to its own story.

Sweet Home

Sweet Home

Both have MCs trapped in a world that's suddenly and inexplicably overrun with extremely dangerous monsters. Both have the MC affected by those monsters in a way that's advantageous. The MC of both stories are also pretty similar in personality and the way that characters grow and interact is pretty similar. I'd say Surviving Romance focuses more on the horror and survival elements throughout it's entire run, even though characters get stronger the monsters also get much stronger (so far, might change in the future as SR is not finished yet and bc it involves time travel;) whereas Sweet Home shifts more to focus on the interaction between the main group and this sudden villain group in it's later chapters because once the main characters in SH are well equipped the monsters stop being so threatening.

Animexgirl100 Animexgirl100 says...

I think Sweet Home and Survivng Romance are pratially identical. Both have MC that must team up with those in their building and survive an apocalypse. Both have issues of making sure people aren't infected. I will say surviving romance focases more on building trust then sweet home, but they are both so good, and so similar

These two are quite the opposite. (Cuz i thought, why should i recommend things that are almost identical? This is like an attempt to expand the types of manga one could read)

Saving my sweetheart is about a mc who cherishes the people around her and once she got a second chance in life by going back in time, she does not hesitate to do all she can to stop the evil that is her mother. It portrays a glimmer of hope kind of sense as she slowly change things up a bit. Although scared of what the future may have in store she still persists.

Surviving romance in the other hand is about a character who only had her sight on her happy ending, not caring about anybody else. Things take turn for the worst and now she's stuck in a loop. Slowly she falls into despair until-

The two main characters have the same time powers, which are triggered in the same way. Both are Isekai. Both have a massively underpowered MC in an enormously hostile world.

There are some big differences: ReZero is more about subaru having to puzzle through these impossible odds almost entirely on his own when his only power is that he can't truly die and keeps coming back through time, and the main focus I think is how he deals with that trauma of constantly coming back when he can't tell anyone about it. Surviving Romance on the other hand is more focused on how this big group of people who are barely acquantences have to survive and work together in this sudden apocalypse; and the main draw is seeing different people become usefull and care for each other in different ways... SR also has a lot more comedic moments in it to sorta contrast the really sad parts. Even though the steaks are similar, the stories go about em in different ways.

Either way, if you like one; you'll like the other.

Both of these stories take the meta-isekai genre and put a horror spin on them, with a similar MC.

Male Lead is a Murderer is more of a straightforward romance but with a surprising, emotional and stunning ending.

Surviving Romance is an enthralling survival story that doesn't shy away from heavy topics, that explores platonic friendship between a wonderful cast of characters.

Another time loop story. However, despite the initial impression that Surriving Romance is a romance story, it's really a story about friendship and bonds.
