Immortal Undertaker Manga

This is the story of the hero who must kill the princess. This is a world where the dead are sent to the final rest by the Immortal Undertakes, a race of long-lived beings who look human. Leon, a half-breed, is the youngest of them and is on his way to take his final test when his train falls off its tracks. He meets a human girl in the forest and though he doesn't know her, he somehow feels he must protect her... from the other Undertakers!

I was very impressed with this series, the art is good and the story is very interesting. I do have one issue with it however and that is that the chapters are very short and as such the development is dragged out over many chapters. Considering that I've read 53 chapters in the space of a single morning I found that the story progression could be covered in perhaps 10 to 15 longer chapters. I definitely recommend this manga however it'd be best to wait until it's completed and binge it because reading it chapter by chapter would be infuriatingly slow, for example chapters 48 to 53 cover a single relatively short conversation between 3 characters with very little else covered, in the terms of story time realistically this would cover perhaps 5 or 10 minutes. I don't know how long this series will run for however at this place I can see it being cancelled before it's completed simply due to readers losing interest at the slow development caused by the short chapters. However as far as dark fantasy mangas go this is definitely a good one with lots of potential, I'll come back to it once another 50 or so chapters have been released and I look forward to seeing where it goes.
