Both are set in ancient fantasy kingdoms. Both have weak heroines who try to overcome obstacles and become stronger. Both are reverse harem. Both have good plots that are hard to predict, you dont know which side to root for.

If you are looking for melodramatic crap that is short and sweet, FY OVA and Blue Seed 2 are for you. I disliked both but can see why you'd like one if you liked the other.
