The Misfit of Demon King Academy

Dec 25, 2022

this show is essentially a shitpost.

More subtle of a meme compared to one punch given sometimes this genre can get pretty dumb anyway, but it's certainly still taking a considerable amount of piss

I’m Quitting Heroing

Dec 25, 2022

ok, if there's any set of reviews that make me think the internet has no brainpower, it's the reviews for this show.

So the show essentially starts off as a show about managment and how to be empathetic, essentially using each of the characters as an archetype for a well intentioned but flawed leader.

There's the overworker, who ends up overworrying, a warrior that can't understand his advantages in life, a assassain that fails to understand his own emotions, making it hard to connect to others and a loli, assumedly there to catch anyone that draws rule 34 in an FBI sting.

My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!

Jul 3, 2020

If you're looking for a well thought out deep anime, you may wanna go literally anywhere else, but if you're looking for something, light, compact and generally fun in between bigger things, this is perfect. the story is fairly lackluster in total, pretty typical isekai to begin with, "person dies and reincarnates." But with the mild but more or less meaningless edition of memory coming back after a fall at a young age. After that there are a few episodes essentially introducing the cast before a time jump and I'll let you discover the rest for yourselves. Talking of the cast, they're a touch... See full review

Log Horizon

Jun 4, 2020

log horizon cannot be talked about on it's own, it can only be talked about in it's place in the human centipede of isekai.

So first their was the birth of the most canerous and obscenely deformed growth known as SAO, the original MMO isekai, known for being shallow, unfunny mellodrama that had figured out a lack of self awareness is what ruined fans of anime and tried to wake them up from their delusions by showing them how a lack of self awarness comes across in the form of anime, unfortunatly the dozy gits thought it was the messiah. But what comes after every financial sucsess? something that... See full review

BOFURI: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense.

Jun 4, 2020

first things first, this show is absolutely batshit in the best way possible. every negative element swirls together into this weird perfection, the pacing is breakneck and poor, but the story's super simple so it's not a problem, the simple story is cliched and dumb and has characters so paper thin that if you blew on them they'd fall down, but the story doesn't matter and is a great conduit for the comedy, which is amazing, the game looks broken and the plot has more holes than a prositute in 1888 but that just adds to the weird and zany atmophere which occaisionally belches up an amazing joke.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (2012)

May 25, 2020

By far the worst JoJo's part, its only redeeming quality is that it lead to the rest of JoJo's.

my biggest problem is the way it just seems to drag on and on, which become acceptable in later partd because of the more tactics based action, but here it just comes across as overwritten and a massive slog.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime

May 22, 2020

What's bright, funny, dramtic and has no right to be as good as it is? Why it's this poorly (yet very descriptively) named show!
I'll be dead honest that I went into this show with the intent of hating it, from the name to the gimmicky and unfunny core concept, nearly everything was against it, but the way it presented the idea was less "Haha wacky random bullshit" and much more focused on the comedy built around the subversion of expectations and how these characters deal with it, which is about as good as a segway to the plot as I can think of.

The basic idea is about our MC gaining a... See full review

Lord of Vermilion: The Crimson King

May 19, 2020

so, the title drew me to this "lord of vermillion" is a wonderful name, but that's about the only compliment I'll throw to this dumpster fire of a show, the characters remind me of crab paste, the animation is choppy enough to sell illegal tobacco and the story is incomprehensible and paper thin at the same time somehow.
