Angel Beats!

Apr 13, 2021

At the beginning I thought this was just another slice of life/action anime. But I was pleasantly surprised when I realized that the story had less to do with fighting a magical creature and more to do with learning to accept death. I know that the “afterlife school” has been done before. Nevertheless, I still connected with the characters and their stories. I learned to appreciate simple things like playing a baseball game and I learned to appreciate life. This is not the best anime ever, but it is still worthwhile.

Given

Apr 13, 2021

¿What better way to express your pain than with a song? The grief of losing a loved one and the process of accepting new love is the theme of this anime. I honestly lack of words to describe how much I loved this story. I think that it portrays life as it truly is: painful, but also full of music. This anime proves that you don’t need a complicated and exuberant plot to convey emotion. The relationship between the two boys is so awkward and true. In all honesty, one of the best BL (and romantic anime in general) that I’ll ever watch.  And I love how everything starts and ends with a... See full review

PSYCHO-PASS

Apr 13, 2021

The atmosphere in this anime is simply great. They managed to create a dystopian world that is actually relatable. I loved how the technology was intertwined with the human psyche. The idea that you could be banned from society just by your mental health is so terrifying and yet so real. I think this anime is an intelligent critique of today’s society. On the other hand, the plot becomes a little boring over time. The characters aren’t that relatable and they don’t develop through the anime.

High-Rise Invasion

Apr 13, 2021

A little bit disappointed. The show promised a lot but didn’t deliver. I think the plot is interesting, but the characters are one dimensional. There is also way too much fan service. I liked the fact that there are a lot of woman protagonists BUT they are constantly sexualized. I enjoyed the fighting scenes.

Hi Score Girl

Apr 13, 2021

Once you overcome the CGI barrier, you can enjoy a wonderful story about young love. The best thing about this anime is that even though the female protagonist doesn’t talk, we understand her completely. The love-hate relationship between the two kids is so funny and wholesome. I enjoyed learning about the story of video game arcades and finally understood why people love them.

Lovely Complex

Apr 13, 2021

I enjoyed this anime a lot. Romance in anime is sometimes portrayed in an unrealistic way. That is not the case of “lovely complex”. ¡The friends-to lovers plot is perfectly developed and is so cute! It made me laugh several times. In general, is a really wholesome and fun anime.

Beastars

Apr 13, 2021

At first I was a little scared to watch this anime, I kept thinking “¿will I become a furry?" However, this actually is a pretty good anime. The story is super entertaining and it actually discusses serious themes as death, morality and overall humanity. I loved the dual personality of Legoshi. His internal battle to protect his morality is beautifully portrayed. It is a fun anime to watch and it also makes you think about morality itself. I would recommend this.

Neon Genesis Evangelion

Apr 13, 2021

Neon Genesis Evangelion should be considered one of the best animes of all times. Even though it may seem like the typical apocalyptic ciber-themed anime at first, it really isn't. It talks about trama in an unfiltered way. The relationships between characters are so special and real. But the best thing of all, is the complex personalities that the characters have. Their traumas are exposed and we, as spectators, are forced to confront our own humanity. They are all flawed, and that's what makes them so human. ¿So what if they ran out of budget? They still managed to tell the story... See full review

Future Diary

Apr 13, 2021

Seems that future diary divided the anime community and I understand why. At first glance, de anime seems rather obnoxious and exaggerated. However,  this is a good anime. The plot is incredibly interesting and the theme is deep: human desire, trauma and love is present throughout the anime. The relationship between Juno and Yuki is so raw, real and toxic.  Overall, it really pained me to see what the characters were going through. You just can´t stop watching it.
