This story is like if Junji Itou wrote more about sexuality and psychological themes, rather than straight up horror. At the core it is is about the characters struggling with their self-worth and how others view/treat them. It is dramatic and gripping. Like a car crash in slow motion, but in a good way.The art and paneling is compelling. The author uses srong shading and character expression to invoke the mood well. Some of the emotionally intense scenes are drawn like a fever dream, hence the comparison to Junji Itou.The characters aren't entirely good people, but they do feel like people. It's a bit exaggerated due to being dramatic fiction of course, but I can see them as being somewhat realistic. But most of all, they are sympathetic characters. They aren't incomprehensible in their actions, and I found myself rooting for them to find happiness. Unfortunately that's quite difficult for them, because this story is a downward spiral. In a good way.Overall, I recommend this manga if you can look past the sexual themes involving a minor. I would say it's not actually about an age-gap relationship. That is simply an aspect that adds to the tension and drama.(Reviewed after chapter 12)

Like watching a second plane hit the tower in slow motion, it keeps getting worse but I can't look away.  This is like someone wondered "what's the worst thing that could happen" and then made the worst thing happen. Then after that, did the same thing over again for the next scene. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy reading it, but mostly just to see how bad things become. I come back every few months to see if another chapter of spiraling depravity has been added. I may be on a list now. You may be too. 10/10 Story for how the hole somehow keeps getting deeper after already reaching what I thought was the bottom. 5/10 Art because honestly that's not my focus. 1/10 Characters because they're all pieces of trash. 5/10 Overall, because that's approximately how you average out 10/10, 5/10, and 1/10. Would reccomend if you like the idea of dying alone.
