she's okay but she serves no purpose in the story except for being a love interest. all the times she really expresses herself is when midoriya is brought up her quirk is so cool but why does that even matter? she is, after all, just a love interest and her only saving grace is that she'll probably end up marrying him. wasted quirk
I want to start off by saying I do not hold anything against Uraraka in the show, but her character design is really bad. I can tell immediately right off the bat that she was designed to be Deku's love interest. Like no joke it's so obvious they were literally made for each other. In fact they are so compatible that Uraraka was basically like a weaker female bersion of Deku in the show. Yes literally. They literally give off the same innocent, pure, naive, "I wanna save all" vibe. Uraraka's character does not support Deku's character- she's practically a copy. If their physical design were even a little similar, I would be convinced if someone told me they were secretly twins or related. I can imagine that if they were to ever get together, I would be seeing doubles. Their character traits are so compatible its almost laughable. Uraraka is hardly anything new and her character doesn't support or enhances Deku's character. She's just there to help Deku when he needs help and used as an emotional support character. I would like her better if she was more original, but I just can't like her. So it's not specifically anything she did that sets me off, but just her character in general being so useless. I mean if she were to actually get more attention, she would really actually become like another Deku and no longer "being overshadowed."
Sorry but all I see is a weaker female copy version of Deku.

It's infuriating that she has so much potential to be a good character but basically doesn't have a purpose other than to be a love interest

People who hate her are either people who ship Izuku with other charatcers or people who expect characters to be so over-powered
Late review, I love her sm. My favourite girl. People hate her for being the mc's, is the mc not allowed to have a love interest?
She has never been a demsel in distress and has always gotten up and helped herself or others around her
She may be considered 'weak' but at least she puts in the effort and tries
