Detective agencies with super powers, funny in the midst of serious situations. Characters are always fighting within each other, but teamwork always seems to win out and the cases are solved, either with a good ending or a bad one. Small twists in the stories keeps you interested, even if you know they will solve the mystery in the end of the episode or two.
Magical detective agencies chock full of bishonen men and one or two female characters. Interesting crimes that relate to their powers too.
Two very similar animes in story, charachters and animation. If you enjoy one you will definitely enjoy the other.

Trapped between two worlds, Ken must survive the violent...

There are couple of similarities between the two anime (like the coffee shop headquarter, the hunting game, the fighting family/friends etc.) and if you like the style and the theme you will like both anime.

This is surprisingly similar to The Irregular at Magich High School. Both main characters have a younger sister like girl they are with alot and/or protect. Both main characters are uniquely skilled, highly intelligent, and very powerful even among their extraordinary kind magicians or minimum users. Both have major events that take place in Yokohama. Both characters have friends or contacts in government circles, aka military or police. Both are about the division of ordinary humans and humans with special abilitiies. Both even have resistance or anti special human movements and demand or who seek equal treatment. Though in both cases that situation is not so black and white as the non special powered humans think. Both main characters are even about the same age. Both main characters do not need to or could or have graduated from high school early. Both main characters are so extraordinary they are or have information about them classified. And another major story arc involves the illegal sadistic use of brains of special powered humans to make non humans powerful. The parallels are almost staggering. Despite all the similarities there is also enough unique about each story to keep them separate.
