the rehash of the original from miyuki's perspective. i had no intention of watching it when it came out, but i forgot about it and was told about it by a friend. honestly, i wish i remembered because this isn't worth watching. miyuki's got a hopeless brother complex that was already pretty creepy in the original series, but it's magnified now that we can see what she's thinking on top of it all. everything else is just the same shit different pile. you may as well watch the original series again if you're bored.

i thought it was pretty great. my one issue with this season is that i could not feel anything they were trying for at the end. doesn't help that i was still laughing about what just happened before that.

there's 3 major issues with this series i hate. first, the first episode where that new adventurer group gets mauled is retarded. it is "just" an empty plot device to show off how scary goblins can be. they got yamcha'd. it's especially retarded because in a world that they live in, atrocities of goblins is glossed over to an extreme degree. like they had a story concept that everybody's knowledge comes from videogames "lol, goblins are super weak mob monsters", but the series completely denies that very concept as goblins start doing worse and worse things and people still claim... i'll start by saying this is definitely worth watching at least once. you might be wondering why i gave it such low reviews despite that. the reason is beacause, well, really, the story "is" pretty blas'e. the animation is ridiculously simple, like any "group of girls" type anime aiming for the moe. i gave the sound a 6 because, again, the opening and ending are sickening, but very easily skipped, so that doesn't matte, but! there is one song in a later episode, sung by the russians. i find it interesting to note that it is a legit folk song, or whatever. the song itself sounds decent... fluff. nothing but fluff. very relaxing. drawn with pastel colours and is arguably quite cute. practically nothing, if not absolutely nothing for story, but i don't care. also, fairly funny, depending on your sense of humour.

first up, the story is... relatively interesting. in a broad sense, about a guy who became a half vampire after the vampire that bit him got sealed. more specifically, now that he's gotten tangled up in the supernatural, he goes out of his way to help others with similar problems. honestly, if it weren't for the fact that the main character has every fetish known to man, i'd rate that higher, though. on that note, you see panties for the first 60 seconds of the series (it's what the main character is looking at) and is timed in he corner. but, like, generally speaking, the fan service is pretty excessive... i think this series would be great if they didn't worship their classmate just cus she's quiet. quiet and pretty, i guess? but really, their reasons are outlandish, but the real problem i had was the severity. these people would throw themselves into a puddle and ask her to step on them. probably not even with the pretext of helping her step over the puddle.

it's such a shame. i'm sure the story is supposed to be amazing. the characters would be pretty and interesting, but they're noodle people, and i just can't be interested in an anime about noodle people.

well, i should start with the fact that i read the manga, and am comparing the things i like and don't like between the two. i should also make it clear that "some" of the things i like in the manga are only due to how they translated it. anyway, i feel like the anime as a whole justs lacks impact. the dark thoughts and undertones that are introduced in the manga are more or less just glossed over. don't get me started on the other things like suttle insinuations that they miss. i still think the anime is really funny, but i would prefer they did not feel the need to make the NM into a cute mascot...
