This show is so wonderfully written, I would reccommend it to pretty much anyone. It has the characteristics of shounen, sports, drama and other genres of anime and allows you to really get into the story and root for the characters. It gets into some deep themes such as domestic emotional and physical abuse, so if you are very sensitive you probably should either not watch it or take breaks from the show every once in a while. I am not just giving the show such a high rating just becaue I enjoy it, I believe that anyone who watches the show could really love it and be entertained even if you do not like the sports genre of anime. The show focuses equally on tennis as themes of friendship, family, and never giving up.
