Cliché of legendary OP character reincarnation into distant future. The story follows legendary hero king, who achieved victory against daemons. He was revered as godly figure at the peak of his fame. He felt everybody kept distance from him even his closest friends. For that reason, he is going to be reborn hopefully as commoner in the future to experience normal life. A simple premise and typical overpowered character reincarnated series including overused trope of future generations using weaker magic. I liked how reborn protagonist tried clumsily to establish friendships. It’s quite predictable his effort given his character and power is sure to fail. He is to be at the centre of attention. In typical manner he is to be popular among girls including his first and only childhood friend. It has twist similar to another series [1]. The girl gets ample opportunities to be jealous as other girls are getting interested in the MC quickly. However, the harem is kept at humble size with including only two competing girls. Another element is action. There are segments with magical beams, explosions, transformations, sword duels and fist fights. Probably the most memorable fight is friendly fist fight during the final arc [2]. Interestingly enough some of the old heroes survived to the era the MC is reborn. He has to hide his identity from them as well. It has some mild erotic tease aka ecchi, but very toned down, when compared to the manga adaptation. In the twelve episodes it goes through four major stories albeit quite short. To connect these the transition sometimes seems to be plot twist out of nowhere [3]. The secret identity of the last bad guy was quite predictable. I think the last part of the story was the best, because it forced MC to deal with his past.

Audio visually the anime adaptation is pretty average for the genre. OP and ED completely forgettable.

Overall, watch only if you want stereotypical OP reincarnation trope with harem. In that case I would recommend the manga over anime, because I find the character design bit better and the manga does not shy away from some more adult scenes [4].

Spoilers

[1] Like in the series Kenja no Mago the MC finds his parents are actually famous heroes.

[2] Fight between Ard and Lydia

[3] Suddenly the teacher is impostor, suddenly some powerful being sends MC with the girls back in time.

[4] For example when Ginny visits Ard’s room in order to seduce him in the manga she barely covers herself with long ribbon.
