First of all, the art style used in the show was truly beautiful. The whole aesthetic, colours and backgrounds were so on point and lovable. This may be the only thing that made me watch it until the end. I believe that in romance films, there should be at least one extrovert in the relationship, if not at least a few around them, like friends, family, etc. If not, like in this anime, it becames extremely boring for me. This film could also be described as "one and a half hours of a bunch of old people and a bunch of introverts quietly talking." The idea was nice, a shy boy who loves haikus and a girl who has problems with loving her own features, but the way it turned out was awful. If weren't told, I probably wouldn't be able to figure out which ones were the main characters. There is absolutely no exciting scenes, for a really long time you wait for something to happen and then it just don't. In the end, they both did overcome their insecurities, but how? Their interactions weren't romantic in any way, they were never alone, they never had the time to fall in love. Repeating because it's the only thing I love about this anime, the art was brilliant, but the characters were simply trash.

Summary: I wouldn't recommend it if you like animes with a little bit action and excitement(not talking about physical interactions here, just maybe a few lines of romantic words?) because if you do, this anime is definitely not for you.

P.S. The guy's head looks like a damn lightbulb, could have had better proportions with him.
