Sucks that you happen to have an incompatible device.I played Brave Frontier in 2015 and currently Fire Emblem Heroes.I would safely say that the gacha system for the two mentioned games are better compared to F/GO.While I do not hate the games themselves,I tend to have a beef with gacha systems.This is why I prefer action games and RPG's such as the Final Fantasy franchise(I only played FFXIV,a bit of FFXV and Opera Omnia).There's even an anime connected to FFXV and the popular FFVII sequel Advent Children.
I would say that Jeanne's strong will is around par with Artoria's,as she still held on her beliefs of God even she was going to get executed.I do like Jalter as well.Artoria possesses honor,courage strong will and honesty.Basically anything you could want in a leader.About Jeanne having slightly less screentime,I blame that on the failure of Apocrypha.Many servants,not just her,suffered from poor writing and became worse characters than their standard characterization.I was glad that FGO and Extella gave them the screentime and justice.Extella is Dynasty Warriors on fast-foward button,otherwise it is pretty average from what I observed.
The Elric Brothers are equally well-written.My other favorite would be Riza Hawkeye.
I just got hooked up on Angel Beats in early June.It's good and above average,but definitely not the saddest masterpiece.I gave it a solid 7/10 and the manga is better.
To be honest, I only cried during Iwasawa's departure(she's other favorite along with Yuri and Kanade) and the graduation scene.The parts I laughed the hardest is the rocket chairs sending their victims Hinata and Takamatsu to the ceiling.The flashbacks attempting to delve into our protagonists' pasts are good,it just that they should do this to more characters.
On Kanade,she's probably one of the few Kuuderes I liked(others would be Akemi Homura from Madoka Magica and 2B from Nier;Automata),coming from someone who is not fond of the dere-stereotypes.I do feel bad for her,as the people she befriended with will disappear.I cannot blame Yuri as well,based on her circumstances.Both sides are pretty much in the gray area imo,but I would most likely join Yuri's group than the student council.Girl Dead Monster produced alot of favorite titles like Shine Days,Crow Song,Alchemy,God Bless You,23:50 and Highest Life.I agree on extending the anime without fillers,as fillers tend to water down the quality.
The good thing about F/GO is that you have the opportunity to summon servants you don't see before in other series such as Stay Night,Apocrypha,Extra,Extella,etc.However the downside comes with bad gacha system,as CEs will interfere with servant summonings.I'm afraid the system may make it harder for me to get servants I like.
I prefer Ruler to Saber by a landslide though.To me,Artoria is a balanced character to me.Jeanne as well but tbh,her characterization is potrayed better in Extella and FGO.Apocrypha did not do any justice at all.Do you have any other servants you like?
Edward Elric is a pretty good protagonist in shounen's standards.His brother is servicable at best too.As for Todoroki,he is one of the most developed and well written characters in BNHA.
As for Kanade and Black Rock Shooter,they may appear bland to the audience,but the context of their characterization may suggest otherwise.Tbh,I honestly think Angel Beats should extend to 20+ episodes to give room for exploring more characters' pasts.It's not the worst anime however.

I did, I responded. Berserk is a classic so I really feel obligated to give it a try regardless of the OP protagonist thing. I'd say I did for the most part besides some issues with my mother again. I'm in agony over the fact that I'm stuck in school again tomorrow. Break went by way too fast. I have 20 minutes until bedtime because the commute is so terrible. It's 7:53 PM here.
It really is cool that we have such polar tastes. It makes a lot of conversation. I'd be happy to try Shana. I think I could avoid VR being the person I am. I have a lot of self control when it comes to my hobbies and lifestyle. I'm really impulsive in conversation but with my personal life I can easily make changes. It was my choice to go vegetarian and low-sugar, and I will never touch meat again no matter what. That's my personal choice though, and I'm definitely going vegan as an adult. I don't judge others for eating meat and dairy as long as they don't take it for granted. My ideas so far are Madoka and School Live and a few others, and I feel we should have a fixed episode count we stop at if we don't like it. For instance, maybe four episodes? I'd say that's fair. In terms of HxH, a lot of long-running shounen anime are like that. They have a tendency to introduce really intriguing and well-written characters and then completely discard them after their character arcs. It's a waste of good writing. I tend to love characters other people despise as I said before so I would probably like Mereum. Winry was pretty lackluster in the original FMA but she ended up my favorite in Brotherhood when she held the gun up to Scar and then found that she couldn't do it. I ship EdWin so hard so yes Brotherhood had the better ending. Al doesn't get enough love. Despite my personally liking Ed better, they are equally great and should be treated as such. Sorry but my thoughts are never individual. They always run together as one thing. I don't really know why that is but my brain is not at all organized and completely unrelated topics seemingly pair together instinctively in my mind. For work and school, I spend a lot of time categorizing my thought processes, but in casual conversation, I'm pretty much incapable. Please excuse that. I agree with the men losing custody thing 100%. That's why I hate a lot of kuuderes, they have no personality. I'm gonna break this paragraph off here in an effort to make things a tad more succinct for you.
You're right, that is good discussion material. Akame just didn't make any sense. In the finale, she stabbed herself with her own sword (which is supposed to kill anything it touches) and it makes her stronger. She is a fine person with great character design who could have actually been likable for me if it weren't for the plotholes. You know how I am. It's also that she doesn't care very much about animals and that's never okay in my book. Her being the titular character makes no sense too. Tanya is just a cliche sadistic loli with extenuating circumstances and an edgy god complex. Nothing special.
