The initial plot was promising, not exceptional, but promising. But the more the show goes on, the more it gets boring.

Story: 2/10
Sorry.
Start: a young boy with as only interest the sim girls. He plays at home, at school, while eating, everywhere, at anytime. Until the day when he gets stuck with a demon girl and a contract that requires him to seduce real girls. So far it looks interesting, as it seems like a male character seducing multiple girls that barely know of his existence. Something different from other harem anime.
But while the first 3-4 episodes are quite cool, in the followings everything gets slower, more calm, in a single word, boring. There are a few good shots, but nothing more.
And while it's classified under romance, well there isn't that much of it. The main character actually ends up acting as a psychologist, not a lover.
Another point is that within 12 episodes, it's like having 4 different and completely unrelated stories. And I do not mean that there are 4 different plots... It's actually 2-3 eps on a story, then everything is "resetted", so to say, then other 2-3 eps on another story... It could have been way better, if on each of these plots there was some influence from the previous ones.

Animation: 6/10
It's ok, it has received all the attention that is needed for an anime like this one. But there are no scenes that actually require a high level animation, as it's mostly a static background with only the characters moving, and not that much either. So it's good enough for this anime, but it's not excellent.

Sound: 6/10
It's about the same thing as the animation, it's good, but there was no need of special sound effects, so I cannot say neither that it's good not that it's bad. For the voices, there are really few characters, or at least, really few characters that tell more than one or two sentences during the whole anime. A good point are the songs that play here and there in some episodes.

Characters: 3/10
There are really few characters in this anime. And only 3 of them will sign presence for more than 3 or 4 episodes. Keima (the main character), Elsie (the demon girl), Mari (Keima's mother). And the mother has an influence on the plot that's about zero. And the girls that Keima is supposed to seduce really seems that they came out of a sim-game. Each single one of them with a heavily stereotyped personality. As stated before I expected way more characters interaction, as the guy has to seduce different girls, way more chaos, way more competition between girls... Way more fun.

Overall: 4.5/10
It's just thanks to animation and sound that it reached this score, as the story and the characters do not deserve more that a 2.5. Of all the anime I've seen so far, this is the first one that made me fall asleep because of boredom, and not because I was tired.
The base plot could have been a good idea, but it's badly developed. Too easy and trivial. The plots are one after another, with absolutely no influence between them. Only two, max three characters are involved in each plot. Looks like a patchwork of stories made in a hurry, without caring about creating bridges and bounds between them.

2/10 story
6/10 animation
7/10 sound
3/10 characters
4.5/10 overall

I am currently watching Season 2 of this and watched Season 1 about one year ago and totally agree with your review here. The show is not really bad, but it feels VERY generic and repetitive over long stretches. I am a little confused how Kami nomi zo shiru sekai managed to reel in an average rating of >4.2.

It wasn't my cup of tea, but I have to disagree with your review personally. I think you were biased. It would deserve at least a 7 even if you didn't enjoy it. The animation is pretty good and there were a few scenes which were very detailed such as the library ones. Also the sound was very good, infact one of the best in the animes I've watched so far. Once again, these were only my thoughts.
