Ew, this is terrible. I get the psychological aspect of the movie but come on, at least make an effort in the animation. This garbage ass CGI of the forest, the giant CGI stem thing. Yuck.
Pros: Varied music, good characters, good character interactions.
Cons: Horrible CGI, worse overall drawings than the anime.
The music is steadily increasing in goodness, and I'm noticing it not being the standard OST. The characters and their interactions were very well done especially when the mentality of the characters starts to break down. I cannot forgive the animation being overall worse than the standard we get in the TV series, it's shocking really.
The story is the only saving grace even if the plot holes are as abundant as Briefs holes are all over the island. Dealing with the loss of those who are almost like family, a good example is how would you react if you lost your best friend, someone who you may have known more than half your life, that is some deep shit. But again where was this plant from, what happened when they meet Rodger, and what happened during the storm, is that a devil fruit power(but he looked shocked when he saw the powers)? Unanswered questions leave a big hole. 1-time watch only, and never again.
